Shrug, you wouldn't've survived anyway with failed bob, while yelling bad link shows you still HAVE link, hence by pure default it ain't a linkless kill. Freezekills, as someone else above said, is something that many of us have to live with; whining like a spoilt 6 year old doesn't impress. Fuck you all, only the people with insta 10ms link kill linkless, or people who are killed linkless to often. It is hard to recognize a frozen player, if he is still spamming commands. You cannot blame Fingeror i think.

I played from freezing link last month or so, caused me 10 deaths I think. (+ 5, where I was killed with skill/luck). Dont take it so hard, come back, and BN's will roam Arda again.

Cant applaud to what Fingeror did, but must agree, that some people play from shitty links and therefor it IS hard to draw the line. So, it is a matter of concience.

And join RealBNs (tm): take risks, enjoy game, avoid looser-pukes & never kill any1 with linktrouble i.e do what you wish others did to you.

Was not commenting on Fingeror's skill. He is a very good player and a decent chap. But I prefare playing at night U.S. time because I usually play against players with the same link and its more fun. (Also not because I dislike Europeans, which I don't as I am one...just living in Chicago). If the difference between links is so vast, well then it really isn't much fun imo.

Spared Fingeror's ass today when he yelled that he was freezing after global linkloss. I guess time will tell if he is able to pay it back some day to someone. To Drax: this is how these guys pk, they outlink ppl. They kill ppl
that cannot walk fast enuf out of their spells. So when they see you cannot
escape their spam, they get this message lit up in their head: "strategy successful!"

I never kill anyone without them confirming that they have a link below 100ms first, i mean, otherwise it's so unfair.

Someone yelling 'freezing' is enough of a reason for me to at least STOP my killing attempt and inquire wtf is wrong, since that might be the only cmd he got in and after that is linkless. Happened to me lots of times, died of it lots of times too.

wish more players were more fair about mume's current link issue,
not everyone has a stable link and the game is fun, so people
wish to play it, even if perhaps they might freeze during pk.
People fighting them should understand this and try to help
them out, it is a game. I follow this policy and i also lag
a lot, perhaps that's why, and why swedes will never do so :(

Not sure I would pick out Swedes as a group who are particularly bad. If the Americans had the best link then I am sure that they would abuse the hell out of it to and would do all of the same things. If I had such a fast link that I could insta track it would rock and I would probably not give a shit and kill all a la Rogon. Therefore, as I stated earlier, I try to play at night to avoid such link disparity. It isn't fair to single out Swedes because they are no better, or worse, then anyone else.

I personally never kill anyone with faster than 300 ms link...
...mostly because I can't ;) (not much better against those with slower links either)

When I lose link I expect to die (with or without flag).
Why is this? Because after playing my early years on a 14.4 dialup
that disconnected regularly every hour or so, I learned that nobody
gives a shit if they linkless kill you. And I got used to it after

Btw whoever died up in log, it isn't that hard to miss a single yell
in the spam of a battle. I don't know most people that can read fast

I have a rocking 340ms US link. Does that entitle me to yell LAGGING when I encounter the enemy to see if they are nice? Probably means I shouldn't PK, but I do anyway and enjoy the victories and shrug off the defeats.

When your link is fucked, u have to trap trap trap ... Ohh and comforts - it was same as if u were linkless - watching how you die and can do nothing sucks.

whenever i get a freeze i don't link drop right away, hoping that it's
a minor freeze especially in a pk situation, for fear that if i droplink
it gives the linkless killers additional time to whack me, while I kill
the current link and bring tintin up again and reconnect, ie type tt++,
then binding for mume server,then char name,then account pword, then pword...
then again my link i constantly get minor 5 sec freezes, and only rarely that
big 30 sec or more freeze. 5 secs still plenty of time to kill ya though.

Hmm... I got a 600ms link... Doesn't stop people from killin' me. =)

Well, shit happens is all I can say. Being an AOL-user, my link's never stable, and lag visits often. But I don't believe I've ever been killed linkless, except maybe once, one another char. But other than that, it's never happened, and I don't believe i know what it feels like. Now if it was a freeze into sunrip for Troll, any level, then I'd be upset. No offense, but I dunno how to react to this sorta thing.

Firstly, you were going to die anyway, no two ways about it, you failed BOB and you had Fingeror and Grunganator on you...goodnight. Secondly, I dont understand why you would label Fingeror a linkless killer on this evidence, lets see you spam fled a bit, he chased and did a pretty good job and after your yell (which he may well have missed) it took one bolt from wounded to dead. If thats linkless killing then bloody hell, I have never been killed with a link! Anyone who has ever killed me is a linklesskiller!! ARGH!! You take the chance of playing when your link is bad and you pay for the consequences, whether that be dying to pukes before you even see the pukes, or sundying your troll because you cant log back on and you are standing ford. If I know my victim is experienced player and he is not leaving from my bolts I kinda
figure that he has link problems and then I try to check how is his link before I continue.
Sad is if he dies to 1 spell, but I guess nothing can be done about that.

But I guess you can't expect it from Fingeror, since he thinks he has so rocking link and
fast spells that not even experienced player can leave from his spells, or maybe he just
thought you are some clueless bn. Maybe if you dropped link he would spare you, but
probably not since he thinks he is so rocking that you would not flee from him even

Reef really hit the spot here. Drax was apamming and hence fled all over and
i was on him with pierce, quick bolts. There was no way i could tell if he had 20,
200 or 10000 ms link, they all act the same. I also missed the yell made by Drax
in the spam. I might have a fast link, but i'm still just human. I can't make
every desicion right and i'm not allways able to read every single line on my
screen.

Do ppl excpect others to reason: Hmm what kind of link do this guy have? Oh shit,
i have 100 ms better link then this guy, i must spare his life..? Where do i draw
the line? when is it ok to kill, when is it not? It is all a sujective desicion
made in splits of seconds. sometimes you let them live, sometimes they die.

I have been linkless killed by all kind of nationalities. Swedes, americans,
finns, estonians, you name it. Blaming swedes like Nazgum does just shows a
very immature way of resoning. I thought this guy had a higher intellect.

I have killed linkless ppl but 99% of the time it was accidental, not noticiing
he was linkless, not beeing able to cancel a spell that was stored etc. It is
very hard to tell if somone is linkless or not in a spam. Especially if your mind
is 100% set on killing. We have all killed linkless and we will all kill linkless
again. If not intentional, by accident. I'm sertain nazgum has done too. (anyone?)
I don't see why Drax here is any special from the rest of us.

If i however notice somone is linkless he will not die. I think, just as you,
that linkless killing, is a sad aspect of the game. I will also save ppl yelling
they are freezing or laging badly. This i have allways done, and this i will
continue to do. Everyone who knows me also knows this.

Rumburak, do you have any clue how fast a quick bolt is with staff? I would say
about as fast as a burn from a bn. And yes, Drax might aswell be a cluless player
to me, i have no idea what so ever who he is. also, he WAS leaving from my spells
as you might notice, if you read the log.

Of course I know how fast your bolts are. Combined with your link its truely hard to leave from them
since often they get in before the victim gets message about you starting to cast. :-)

I didnt accuse you of intentional linkless killing or anything similar.
But if you wanted to care about your victims' link you would notice their yells
containing word "linkless".

Once 1 of my chars (orc shaman) and another shaman died from full hps to you and Galdor
above hatch linkless (without flag of course, was no linkdrop implemented yet).
So its just not first time I see someone died lagged to you, can't say how much obvious
was it, but killing 2 idle orcs above hatch surely gives time to figure.
