well.. maybe they weren't THAT lame... cause they left most the eq for us... So I'll give you that.. That you called for backup when we rocked you.. is prolly fair enough... but blocking yourself in 5 vs 1???

2 orcs in sun vs hitter and caster is far from fair. And we (me and dreadful)
were expecting semirhage only. Well, in nite you would have been plain dead,
2:2 but oh, I forgot, you could have spammed out any time.

Fucking stop talking about "fair fights". What is fair? 3 on 3 ? or level vs level? Or eq vs eq? Or day or night? Or warrior vs warrior? or darkie vs darkie? Or Puke vs puke? Or puke vs mob? Or mume player real age vs opponent age? Or link , or if you tired rl or not, or if you hungry or gf left you.

I understand that you had to call for backup since sun... but when 3 more came, it was 5 vs 2 (and both me and faolin were pretty down already), and since I leave... and you BLOCK 5 vs 1 inside... THAT is lame... should have given faolin at least a chance to get away.
And yes.. we could have left at any time.. and so could you... but you are so interested in getting kills that you don't care about anything but trapping poor souls.. Both me and p(faolin) are fair players, and we do not trap. We play for the fun of xping, exploring, roleplaying and occasional pkfights... I do not blaim any of you to orcs of being unfair players, but in this situation you did not play fair by any means....
but *shrug* what's done is done.. and i am getting tired of playing because there are so many young and lame players on these days ruining the fun for others..

Interestingly, I was going to post and say "Wow! A 2 vs. 2 fight! Great job to all those involved!" Of course, then the story took a sudden (although predictable) turn. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

me and knanmano had a VERY fair fight yday.
dunno if he was bad or wounded.
i was bad and the fight took like 10 min, and no1 came to backup.
i left on 70 hp since Khanmano hits so DAMN hard=)

Nothing wrong with that kill. The fact is that the orcs were loosing. Only a fool
doesn't ask for help if he is dying. If ther did as you wanted, they would have
stayed and died?

Did any whities see any narrates from us two about the 2 orcs? NO!
Did we give them a chance to get out of there at any time? Yes! (I did not start closing the shrub until the other ones arrived. Faolin could have blocked at any time, but we did not..
This game is supposed to be fun for all parts.. not a place where we run around only trying to kill eachother.. for that we have unreal and half-life etc. Narrates is actually ruining for the game play.. How on arda can ppl give tells to eachother when they are far away... If I meet orcs/bns etc when xping and i think i have chance to kill, i try so, if not I leave.. i rarely call for backup, it is not realistic or logical to call backup with means such as tells and narrates, and that mume has become only that is quite sucky.. All mume is these days are ppl trying to trap to ruin the fun for other players.. and all the good players are disappearing. Almost all of my friends have quit playing because there are so many lousy and lame kids playing and ruining the game.
Does every fight HAVE to have the outcome of death? We have a war yes, so if the group had been those 5 from the start trying to kill us because they bumped into us.. I'd say, fair enough.. stupid of us to enter and we die, cause we sucked in that combat... but things did not happen that way did it? And THAT is one of the reasons I feel such things are lame. Ah well.. I prolly disappear from mume soon myself, since there now is about two or three ppl left which I can play along with.

Fair fight is cool, but it very seldom ends with a kill. So you wanna know why they blocked, well doh, if they didn't, that other guy would have got out and run away, now how is that fun? IT's only newbies that you simply run after and hunt down. Good players you have to block in, or spampoison, or hugegroup spambash spamspell dead :) Whoa, thats a lot of work :P You think one on one is fun? Pierce here, bash there, smite there, both run off at the end...how is that fun again? You gotta think of end-game from the beginning, you gotta have plan, some edge, like some lame trap, or bash trap, or something! Fun is to see *an Elf* is dead! R.I.P. You lived, cause you are so clever! You get good stuff from the corpse of *an Elf* The one who dies with most toys wins! :)
The fewer people in your group the better, of course, thats more wps and eq for you. But better to have more than you need than less, cause if you have less, then the fun is over, and you gotta start reequipping. (unless you're in a lab of course)

Btw, you go into closable for I don't care how many awful orcs/bns, and you die, then PLEASE don't complain. It's like buying a lottery ticket and then complaining when you don't win. Stupid!

So I died... No moves and no escape. A bit my fault since only one of those 5 tried to hit me...the others guarded the exit(as far as I could see..but there was a bit of panic in the picture)so I could have tried to fight back.
The way they have changed moves makes it difficult to hunt down and kill someone without trapping them... At least they could have let me bob so I could have run some more before I died :P

I did not go into closable to hunt awful/bad orcs.. =) They came in after us, when we were xping.. =)
And Dresden.. fights can be cool and fun, even if you don't get kill, allthough it is more fun when you do. And it is possible to kill good players w/o using block, posion and hugegrouping. You'll just need a bit of luck and good playing from yourself..
Further: I did not post this log to complain about Faolin dying, I did it to state my view on how players play these days. Think it over... why do you think most of the older, more fair, and good players quit mume one by one these days? Only because they tire of the game?? IMO it is because they tire of how most other players behave and play... and that will probably be the cause of me quitting to play too.

Dresden, you really think it's skill involved when you manage to get a kill in a 10 to 1 fight? You really think it's good playing involved when you block 2 players in a room with your huge group? No skill is when you alone track down 1 legend enemy and kill him on plains.. that is skill! Personally I think they should remove the block door spell from the game.

Well you coulda helped to prevented the block and save Faolin, by spaming it open from the other side,
but no you had to go and cure light yourself once first:)

thoughs about a 'new mume' where hugegroups have to think more and spam
less:

*Make follow command only allow a single character to follow another,
and if one is a 'follower' he/she may not have any following him/her.
Ie., make follow a rescuing sort of procedure.. to lead a lost/injured/
horribly linked companion to safety instead of allowing backrow spam
smiters and casters. OR remove follow all together.. make each person
act and think independently... in this case, perhaps allow group tell
command to aid in coordinating/communicating these movements.

*Remove block door/break door, have delay on open door/close door command
to avoid spamm from such attempts, make open/close attempts cost moves,
or simply adopt that idea about known doors autoopening when typing the
relative direction.

*Poisons -- whatever.. tone down/remove.. dont really have any huge
feelings about this since the fall of NOrsu Inc.
