###Venturing west of Bree, not really knowing where I was going...

A Deep Dike
On the far side of this deep dike you see a huge wall that used to mark the
boundaries of a kingdom. This kingdom is now in ruins and is buried
beneath the hills of the downs. The line you saw previously, was that of
a line of bushes that has grown along the edge of this dike. Travelling
along side this wall you find a exit big enough to walk through to the other
side.
Exits: East West.

Hole in the Wall
You're walking through the thick wall that used to mark the boundaries to an
old and almost forgotten about kingdom from long ago.
You realize there
must be a sad tale about why only the wall remains, but you think it's best
to never ask someone to tell you the story.
Exits: North East South West.

Sorry about that spam at the end; I was trying to edit and instead hit send.

Anyway, that's the hazard of playing MUME. At least they could've been named
orcs; then I wouldn't feel so bad about my pathetic level 10 self.
Nacs2000-10-05 00:40:36
Well sure was boooring almost as booring as my logs :)
Malak2000-10-05 00:56:01
Sorry, you were the only puke we found tracks of for the last 1/2 hour!
Plus, orcs get a kick outta whacking newbies and we are SO evil!
*comf*
Malak2000-10-05 00:56:29
Because we are SO evil meant to say
Hannibal2000-10-05 00:56:36
heh, i would be the wimp noname, who is the only one NOT hitting that really hurts

*yay*
Razaran2000-10-05 01:04:21
Hey, Malak, I don't blame you. But how come I never saw any trace of you
three anywhere? I'm sure you could sneak, etc., but I can't imagine how
*no one* saw you before you got that far west, at least that I remember
hearing about.
Malak2000-10-05 02:00:08
Like i said, we had been looking for pukes for about 30 minutes and came across nothing. If we see nothing, then nothing sees us and therefore doesn't narrate =)
Voile2000-10-05 03:24:39
Hihi Hannibal.. your not even dreadful for a lvl 10 newbie :) *tickle*
EvilEgil2000-10-05 09:30:15
Another newbie bites the dust.
*muhahahahaah*!!!
Hannibal2000-10-05 09:45:38
oh shutup, havent played very much... lately =P
Relim2000-10-05 10:51:21
You probably didn't see any narrates because you have so much spam in those bloody room descriptions.
And your little comments, lad - you, er, don't choose where to flee, and spamming 'w'... hrm, flee was game mechanics, and you were dead meat the moment those orcs came near you.
We all were newbie once - I still am under certain circumstances! - but keep at it, the knowledge shall come ;) (bit like a London Taxi Driver without the same dangers...)
Ariala2000-10-05 12:08:56
hehe I played mume 2 years and still cant remember most of zones
realy i know only 2-3 zones
but i always know direction where i should spam if troupble :)
Lochdale2000-10-05 20:30:24
Hehe I remember when Relim, then Oregon, told me to remove room descriptions and I asked him what? and then how? I think I actually heard the groan...this was after he told me to spam nw to get out of a random and I told him that it made no sense...my point is that we were all newbies once and while there is a tremendous amount to learn (if you have the time and inclination)once you get the basics then mume is plenty of fun.
Razaran2000-10-05 23:08:38
I do actually know how to remove room descriptions, though I have a pretty
poor memory for where I am (and where to go, particularly on
roads), so I leave them.

And, yes, I know I don't choose where to flee. I was lagged, and thought
I was out of trouble. Problem is, I spammed flee too much, and ended up where
I started. Of course, I'm sure I was dead anyway.

And, I'm a *perpetual* newbie. I actually did play MUME V, as well as VI,
just not very much of either (i.e., not enough to figure much out).
Glader2000-10-06 22:28:59
Fine piece of clueless player eating 4 hits before 1st flee goes through.
Razaran2000-10-07 02:35:37
Fine piece of lagged player, really...
