I was nice to elfy and tried to help her, teach her the game. She refused and
insisted she wanted to keep "annoying people". I found that rather lame. I also
disliked her spam to begin with and when she decided to purposefully spam in and
out of the room my group was in just to annoy us, I got a little more irritated.
We put up with her long enough, I say.

My main problem with Elfy is that those people trying to use the narrates for purposes of the game cannot effectively do so when there is tremendous spam. Also, I wouldn't even mind that so much if it was something worth while being said. I think someone should have done something long before Paragond and support his decision.

Grunge: Actually no, I purposefully chose non-aggressive mobs so I would get
them past all the guards I had to run by on the way to the room elfy was in. All
of those mobs I had charmed are allowed inside cities :) I thought about just
charming two huge grizzlies but guards hit those on site, no guarentees I would
make it to where elfy was and manage to order them to hit before guards took them
out.

He neglected to add the part where he got instantly noshouted for calling her a "cunt" on narrate. This is the internet, yes, but you all don't have the right to say or do whatever you want when it infringes upon the rights of the people who don't want to see it.

Gag, ignore, whatever. But this kind of language and any other type of sexual harassment towards any player for any reason isn't going to be tolerated.

Except for Grunge, he can say whatever he wants and gets away with it.

To unknown: yup, it is indeed (use yer name, eh?). I've just ruined my align by spanking a couple bree-heroes (albeit one in rdell). One was unbelievable rude when I asked if someone wanted equip; refused to apologise, and was as arrogant as Elfy here. The other one kinda spamed me, telling me i was piece of shit. Well, this piece of shit had a brd and used it to good effect (I was rather surprised that Erestor allowed me to stab, but there y'go).
Problem is, there's a huge risk in taking this into your own hands. Last time I complained about someone being a prick, Yants noshouted and notold (?) me. Yants was being a pedantic bastard - Deor actually helped sort it out, although could do nothing bout the player being a tosser. So I kind of don't talk to ainur about player probs anymore - I keep ruining align by killing the suckers. Of course, if they loobie, not much I can do. I just call Paragond in future to deal with them :>

I think mume's justice system needs some significant alteration. There is always a danger of letting players "sort it out". While there motives may be good there is great potential for abuse. Relim kills a spamming lowbie who is acting the bollicks is one thing, but what if Relim simply disagrees with said lowbie or covets some of his equipment and then kills him. We can see the ugly potential here. It is, however, almost impossible to legislate for inappropriate speach. It does require the application of some common sense and good discretion by the ainur but when certain speach gets out of hand it must be stopped. Deor's comments hit the nail on the head. We can usually tell the fdifference from this sort of narrate: Lochdale narrates 'I like guinness'
Grunge narrates 'your a fucking idiot'
to this sort of narrate:
Spammer narrates 'Fuck all of you' etc.etc.
It is not practical to muddle a system to legislate for this so the ainur must be both vigilant and discrete. Lastly, While Elfy probably need to die, I do get concerned with ppls taking the law into there own hands no matter how pure the motives.

As amusing as that was, I doubt it even served a purpose. Elfy has been at level 1 forever and seems rather happy there. Heh Deor, I fail to see how calling elfy a cunt is sexual harassment when everyone knows its really a 52 year old male dentist.

What i don't understand is: how can elfy go on spamming ppl for a month without getting noshouted???? Then someone calls her a cunt and eats it :( And one other thing: SILENCE spell IS NOT ATTACKING. Meaning, you can silence any lowbie without problems or getting wanted. I have personally silenced elfy and will do it again when i get the opportunity.

So every self-respecting mage pls put a couple of pracs (3-4 will do for legend) into silence for this kinda occasion.

BTW, I recieved no punishment for this other than a noshout and jail time. I'm a

Its stupid anyhow to protect those under level 5 - I mean how many ppl actually going around wacking newbies that dont deserve it? Just so you all know, Elfy is 13 RL years old....I xped her/him some on his/her first day on mume. After about an hour he/she became TOO annoying so I pawned him/her off on someone else willing to help him/her xp (*APOLOGIZE*, that was the WORST thing I have ever done to someone in my life). Anyway, Elfy made the point to me that I shouldn't 'beep' him/her, because his/her dad was mad that she/he was up so late playing, and had just gotten a spanking (I'm not making this up) for that very reason. So, if he/she keeps the spam, just spambeep her/him until he/she logs off or voids. If this happens enough, I doubt we will ever see him/her again, since his/her ass will be so damn painful he/she will have to figure out a way to shit while standing RL.

I don't get it, well if she was being a bitch she deserved it! :)
