And about hittin'. Yesterday I went to ford, saw isolde and he instahitted me. You just cant hit a char like that. There were no other trolls around so he couldn't have been spamming it just in case. Then he chased me a bit. He was with a dwarfi so i ran 10 rooms started spammin k *dwarf* but surprise surprise he enters an i get hit from isolde before i can hit dwarf??? is it normal?
Unfortunately i rarely log so that nice even went down the toilet.
AAAA then i yelled isolde autohittin? and after that he didnt hit so quick.
Btw I'm not the only one who suspects that.

Im with him all the time in this log and when tracks say west he presses east sometimes so hes not action tracking and many many times we enter on trolls or orcs and they walk out

I dont think he uses actions. He has some fast binds, but it's right that on
my client he really sucked (4 deaths in one day), but that was more funny then
now when he rocks. Hmms what about to log on orc isolde? Digging for fame on
puke side must be kinda boring.

What's the evidence in this log he uses actions? I don't care bout Isolde one way or the other, but don't see what he did that was overtly wrong here.

Well, I like (p)Isolde/Tindomerel quite a bit. And I'm certain he doesn't use
actions, at least not always. BUT sometimes I can't help but wonder. I've met
him and have got instahit, have been spamming hit or bash and still got hit
first. And that's got me thinking if it's possible for some ppl who seem
superhumanly fast sometimes to use actions for a short while at a time just
while they're in the middle of pk and then turn them off, and not even use
them always in pk. So I'm wondering if gods snoop for actions during battles,
or just by performing random tests while the player is idling somewhere safe.

Nothing personal towards Isolde there, he's not by any means the only one who
seems incredibly fast-fingered on the ol' keyboard sometimes.

From my personal experience, I've seen lots of instances of
cheating from the so called elites...from ICQing info to action hitting.
Seems to always be the name players. So cheating is definately out
there. Theres so many people with FLEE triggers, why they are not sought
out and demoted is beyond me. Spring a FLEE trigger at PPI or RD and see
the many pukes that cheat. Pretty fucking common really. But if you ask
them they say 'I turn it off during pkill'...riiight

Alot of times what might seem like actions are just common sense moves. I've been called an action user many times, which is pretty funny considering I use telnet. I see an orc, chase him spamming kill orc, and hit another orc who can't believe I hit him even though I didn't know he was there. Or predicting a troll might be sitting at Ford so have kill troll pretyped, and voila! There IS a troll there! While I've got no doubt some people do cheat using actions, I'd bet alot of it isn't.

Isolde is damn fast. She runs after me with unhuman speed sumtimes but I have not
noticed constant hits from her..

Anyway goes fast.. and has good sense..

Buliwyf, I know about common sense moves. And I know about accidents like you
describe when you pretype something to hit one orc and hit another one instead
that hadn't seen you before. What bothers me is when someone follows my random
fleeing and spamming different directions so fast I don't even see the room
name before I get the message that I've been hit again. And my link is good,
let me add.

And this is not just a case of envy. I don't mind ppl being good or successful
at pk, I enjoy it in fact. Even I have sometimes pk'ed successfully. And I got
accused of using actions less than a handful of times, always in instances as
described above. So one could not say that all warlords get automatically
accused of using actions. We all (or at least, many of us) remember how pk got
really boring when ppl were using actionhitting and autotracking with
autohitting and actionfollowing and actionrehitting, like Kostej and Trica
(among others). Of course, they cleaned up their act (or at least, Kostej did,
whatever you may feel about his preferred mode of pk after that) when their
actions got banned. But there has always been a trend in MUME to circumvert the
rules or even cheat as slightly as possible so as to give you a significant
advantage without (hopefully) being too obvious and letting everyone know about
it. So I feel these concerns are not out of line, especially when a number of
people voice the same opinion. And I think that an additional level of
scrutiny can only be helpful in enforcing what is, after all, the rules of the
mud, don't you?

He doesnt use actions, you just suck badly. Using keybings to walk (keypad) and buttons to hit (F-buttons) increases speed in pk ALOT. Just like an arcade game, follow hit, follow hit etc.

Of course, I'll happily concede that I suck :-)

Tracking in pine forest is hard because of mobs. But Isolde might knew there are randoms and just spammed around and hit.

I play from Trica's lab, and we still use actions too pk! All the time! And there's nothing you can do about it, since we have even MORE compromising material on 95% of the V+. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Well maybe he turns them off sometimes so as not to be too obvious, ever think
of that? But then I guess you can teach us all a thing or two about actions,
can't you?
