2 dwarves run into me and Baphomet while chasing a lowbie orc around dt. Short,

### At the beginning of the log, I am standing at trail meets tributary,
### having recently been running around after some pukes outside dt without
### much success. There had been 2 huge groups around that day, courtesy
### of Elestir and NSL, both equally boring and, for me, lethal.

### See, it's possible to get kills without trapping or hugegrouping!
### Or even using poison (just in case ppl were starting to believe it isn't).

Roadkill2000-10-13 14:10:29
Unfair, really. I bet Nir was around 100 hps down when he met us. And since
he targetted orc first, that meant he ate my bash, not vice versa. It sucks,
but such are the fortunes of war. At least he died a good death in an even
fight, not alone to a group of 10 or more, or to spamming, smiting, poisoning
warriors with a slavebobber, or in a silly trap. I hope he unretires and comes
back for another try.
Krossen2000-10-13 14:14:27
Aaaah...yummy.
Bornack2000-10-13 14:22:28
Whats up with you peapole ACTION LOOTING IS ILLEGAL
Axel2000-10-13 14:32:40
Bornack you set priorities wrong - who gives a shit about action looting when
there is action track, flee, hit around *peer*
Roadkill2000-10-13 14:45:38
Hrm. Last I heard, autolooting coins wasn't illegal. If you are referring to
the fact that I loot all from corpse, you may notice upon rereading the log
that I actually type 'gac' which is my alias for 'g all corpse'. If I'm dead
wrong about autolooting coins, I'm due for a demote or two, of course - my
ignorance won't save me. Of course, that means all of you ppl using any actions
ever in pk will have to succumb to the same, right? :-)
Toe2000-10-13 14:57:11
*clap* *clap*
Bulldozer2000-10-13 15:01:17
Wee go the trolls :), *yawn* bornack
Diam2000-10-13 15:06:07
Well, it wasn't a trap, it wasn't poison, it was < BASH, 2 fballs = dead:P >
That is called bashtrap, tho you weren't planning it:P

So telling that pukes die otherwise, erm.. :P yes they do.
When you spam, and kill someone with smiters -> you died due fucking "SPAMMERS"
When you eat bash, you died to BASHTRAP :)
When you get trapped or in some deadend, you died to trappers.. :)
When you eat bs, you died to STABBERWHORES :)
When you are afk and someone whacks you, you died because others dont respect your humane needs! :)
When you die to poisons, its fucking ABUSING THE GAME FEATURES :)
So whenever you die, it never is a honest death, there is ALWAYS SOMETHING :P

So, clap! for the nice kill! :-]
Live long and prosper :]
Roadkill2000-10-13 15:12:00
Well, if that was a bashtrap, then when I get killed in an even fight, I could
say that's a killtrap, right?

A trap is by definition something premeditated. This would have been a bashtrap
if we'd decided beforehand to bash one -unsuspecting- target, and nuke it with
fists/spells. This was just plain combat. There -is- a difference, but it seems
I was right in thinking what I said at the bottom of the log: Some of you guys
playing MUME nowadays don't know the difference.

It's ok, you don't have to thank me for showing you; it's all in a day's job ;-)
Garth2000-10-13 15:36:05
*nod Roadkill* Looked like a good ole fashion combat kill to me. Hell, didn't even look like you knew they were there until they were on top of you.
Khwaj2000-10-13 15:37:25
Well done Roadie !!!
Roadkill2000-10-13 15:37:30
..erm all in a day's work even.
Unknown2000-10-13 16:17:48
ANY ACTION THAT HELPS YOU IN A PK SITUATION IS ILLEGAL

Hence autolooting coins or whatever is illegal. REMOVE them or you are due for demotions.
Garth2000-10-13 16:38:24
How does auotlooting coins in PK help? If you've got more money, you can bet more on the fight? Or maybe if you have more money you can hire more Citizen Mercenaries? I don't think that this is an action that helps in PK. Of course, I play via telnet and don't have any of these wonderful inventions :-/
Meteor2000-10-13 16:47:15
How boring people keep whining about autolooting coins.
Well newbies if you can't stand people getting gold while you can't get yoruself a stupid copper that is your problem! =P
Nerf2000-10-13 17:30:54
Dumbass unknown, it's NOT illegal to actionloot coins, kinda sucks fer us americans though, cause are links are molasses compared to you Euro-trash types....*scratch crotch*....
Weigraf2000-10-13 17:34:52
I agree with Garth. It doesn't help in pk situations, it just something that you do! And the Only people whining about it are the people who can't play fair. You just have to screw your oponent by deleveling them.....face it, there's nothing wrong with it!
Relim2000-10-13 17:35:59
Hardly see how autoloot assists in PK. And I do believe that it was confirmed as not being illegal. Take a pill, choose a name and chill out, unknown boy.
Ariala2000-10-13 17:48:08
good fight Roadkill :)
Elestir2000-10-13 19:11:41
Well, action that autoloots anything that is usable in PK (i.e. scrolls) surely helps in PK. :-)
Elmir2000-10-13 19:36:03
Today me and darkangel beat up 2 trolls, ernie and tt. Wounded/bad they were, I was wounded and entered after ernie... I got out awful, slow... Was fun though.
And btw, I suck ass and we all know it so stop flaming people ok? Pisses me off.
Lalin2000-10-13 20:43:22
comf, dwarf warrior isnt easy to play (pure warrior)
Skojardu2000-10-13 21:08:03
Hohohohoho eh uuh me drunk gurglar
Pampalini2000-10-13 21:40:52
Hey Diam forgot also meant stab trap :)
Roadkill2000-10-13 23:09:11
You don't suck, Elmir. I don't even think NSL suck (hear sound of flamethrowers
being lit); I actually think they're nice people and fun to be with. Of course,
they get flamed a lot for overkilling and trapping and I confess I'd be happier
if they, and all of us, did less moving around in groups of 4+ and trapping,
but imho most of the blame should be placed upon the MUME system for being as it
is, and on those who don't want to change it. So there.
Salmar2000-10-13 23:52:41
First fireball kinda rocked while second one sucked!
Roadkill2000-10-14 00:13:51
Oh, and btw, Garth was right above. We had no idea those dwarves were around
until they hit us. We'd been chasing the remnants of Elestir's group and
Galadon around outside dt, but hadn't seen or heard of the dwarves. They just
kind of fell into our laps. Too bad it was such a hard fall for them ;-)
Baphomet2000-10-15 06:50:32
I'm such a fireballwhore
Slobber2000-10-16 17:04:39
nah Nir wasn't down any he was in leather vs trollie which is always truely deadly... btw if anyone cares your not going to see too much of me in the near future gotta save what i pay for my cable for school etc:P
Jocke2000-10-18 14:54:37
<<### See, it's possible to get kills without trapping or hugegrouping!>>
Who ever said it was? Even though it seems some ppl DO think it is.
Roadkill2000-10-19 20:48:47
Well, nobody in particular said it wasn't possible to get kills on MUME except
in traps (including bashtraps), by using poison or being in a huge group,
but several people have said something to this effect.

And most of MUME acts as though it is true.

Go figure.
