You coulda maybe put some hurt on Elestir when he buffing Khuzur since he was the only one there for a bit, if u used something other than a toothpick to hit him with. Then again what looked like awhile on a log was prolly only half a round. Coulda prolly made it north tho if you had taken off through the bushes/thornbushes right away instead of spamming away all your moves in the mountains like a chicken with your head cut off. The rivers on the way n woulda bought u a little resting time too. It was a bit of overkill but it looks like many different groups, and you could have gotten away if you didnt panic so much.

Actually that bastard Trassel was using spear to do a bashtrap, where he spams bash, unlucky troll (me) tries to hit him but is kept at bay, get hitfreeze, his bash comes through first, then 3 more dwarves come and start nuking the shit out of me. But I recovered at wounded and got away. :) So spears can be dangerous, impossible for a warrior to fight a clued spear-user solo.

Yes if there is a lot, icedoor doesn't always help. BUT pukes do get quite
apprehensive about entering there because 1) closables 2) lots of mobs
3) lots of room to run 4) maze rooms = seperation from group

I don't think anything was actually changed on mume to make it more friendly
towards hugegroups. The thing that has killed solo pk is trapping. Yes, trapping
has always existed but in the past it was fairly infrequent so that you actually
felt like you could rush some enemies in a closed area without knowing theres a
75% chance that you are walking into a trap.
