If so many people have triggers for fleeing, then maybe some changes should be made in the game so that it isn't necessary. I know from personal experience that Seeing whether or not you fled during a fight or Xping, and having time to react and flee again, and having a shitty link SUCKS!!!
When you play from a link that requires you to spamenter the next 2 or so commands that you want to go through, this puts you at a huge disadvantage. AND spamming flee to make sure that you get out can be just as deadly. Why not add another command to keep fleeing until you leave the room? I mean, if we are REALLY role playing here, let's think about how reality would be... You enter battle, you are getting your arse kicked, you decide to run to try to save your life, you struggle to get out but can't... YOU KEEP TRYING without having to make a concious decison hrm, yes, I still want out..

Hrm, sometimes when smobbing you really do need flee-action (chief, willow etc.) if you don't have it you mobrip. I use actions when exping or smobbing, but i also have actions to turn all actions off as soon as i see a darkie. It's easy, and sometimes flee-action saves you from certain death in pk so ti aint fair (like in closable which is spammed open and close at the same time). And if you wanna make flee a delayed command then there will be no casters smobbing soon. Flee is an important part of MUME (hit-flee, shoot-flee, cast-flee and or course spam-flee :) But actions make it REALLY unfair to those who don't use em..

client and server to protect it from being altered. In effect, Mume's problem

I play straight telnet; always have, always will. Those of you who think actions don't help are so full of shit your ears leak sewage. How can you say actions to, say, open a door without even typing don't give an advantage? Your opponent, if playing on slow link + telnet, requires double the time for commands to go through. So, opening a door takes a HUGE time allotment, by comparison with someone with a faster link and no need to enter a command to open the door.

Hrm... I don't know about you guys, but i have personally failed 12 flees inside chief room with 17 dex, and i'm pretty sure i would have died without action-flee. A room with 1 exit and 5 mobs engaged + 1 fireballing you kills fast, and lotsa ppl would start dying there if they couldn't use flee action. Other solution is of course to go in with 10 casters and 1 buffer and nuke chief in 1 round, but that would only help HUGE labgroups. Killing smobs with spell-flee (or any other *-flee) would be so damn hard that only ppl well equipped would be the ones who have lab-friends.

Anyone can use em, so if ya wanna sit sweating while typing like mad
using your prehistoric telnets and still being slower than those of
us using clients, that's your choice.
The panic-action rocks, being able to just press flee and know that you
will flee instantly and just one room. It also gets (me) out of 99% of all
close door traps, thus I dare enter even if I suspect there may be one.

I think its good that they made action-following illegal, cuz that was
just boring. However I think they should either fix the flee-system(fix
an automatic panic-action) in mume or let panic trigger be allowed.

Sorry for long post, but the panic-action is really important to me.

i hid it and revealed it with other. (It's damn wrong) ((Kill self Kill))
