what you really SHOULD do is get like 4 bns in thick/heavy metal, each with
5 stored quakes, and hit w gate 1 after another. you could clear all bree
guards that way, would be kickass. then have like 7 or 8 orcs come in,

Overpowered my arse. Quake is fun, but all you need to do to stop it is either bash or flee. So clueless ppl die and the ones who react in any way don't. If mages didn't have quake what would they be worth anyway??? A real smiter does about the same damage (maybe a little less) as a mage bolt INSTA, and also has about 500 hps.

well.... i think damage for quake can be kinda harsh.
but it not that overpowered. just change average damage
to like 30 (so max eq mage can only do like 65) and then all if fair.
that way it can be used to hit lowbies xpin... but legends will still
woop yer arse....

Ehm. Who the f*** is the moronic unknown who thinks a warrior can do 100 hps on a smite? might be able too do 70-80 on a hobbit, if you are a troll, but "normal" warriors (orcs, dwarves etc) will do 50 tops. Even on lowbies.

Hmm, one small difference is for example, that smite is INSTA but you can walk out of quakes. Just have to react not stand in room waiting.

To Durcano: My dwarf cleaves for 60+ hps on a good day so i'd say smiting someone for nearly 80 should be possible. This doesn't of course apply if opponent wears armour in which case some is absorbed.

shala, you're full of shit, only thing you could cleave for 60hp would be if you're a troll and cleave a hobbit inside warrens.

A warsword smite on a target with 40-50 defence (agg warrior) in metal (abs about 13-14) does around 30hp damage.

Smites can really hurt, especially against bashed clerics since they have a bad armour spell. Remember once i ate bash/smite/flee to test dmg, and my cleric who have maxed armour spell and around 200 hps ended up wounded in one hit from full hits and fresh armour and shield. And about quakes... they aint that overpower if you ask me. Pulling stunts like nushe just did takes balls, and rarely works if the players you try it on realises what is happeningL.

Damn Nushenak, thats 10x the tricks I have done. Charging Harry never even crossed my mind. I thought those guys hit me dead in 1 round. Guess they not that bad afterall. Must try something as crazy meself...*think*.

And btw, why are people whining about quake being overpowered?? Like someone
said, it's easy to avoid getting quaked. Same goes for stab (just search and
move around or stick with mobs) and smite (have high def, or just run, or
whatever). All classes have strengths and weaknesses. So live with 'em.

You rarely ever do more than 50 damage on a smite, and even more rare is a 500 hp warrior. I'd be surprised if even Scrape had 500 hps. Many times you can get off 2 stored quakes before a bash goes through and get your 1 smite, and most definately you can quake once and flee before a bash goes through. Then again, I just hit once, wait for yer sorry ass to start your quake, flee, listen for the boom, come back in and hit again :/

I canˇgive you an example about cleave damage. Cele hit me , bashed and after i recovered i figured out that i lost only 6hps.
