First, comf on the death. I nearly died a couple times yesterday trying to
fight poisoning orcs. Some notes: if it isn't a quake or a call lightning,
when fighting them solo, don't bother. Second, don't stay around long enough to
eat a bash. Third, run and port or rem immediately after you get poisoned.
Either that or get a bunch of warriors and a cleric together and rock them :)
Btw, nice kill on that hummerhorn... And yes, that orc group running
around with arachnia is getting kinda lame. Someone solo with poison, ok.

Well, sometimes it's not easy to just avoid poisoning orcs. You can be in your own little world exping when suddenly some orcs show. These days you almost have to always be prepared for poisons, traps, quakes, and such. Mume has definately shifted from where chars could do almost anything solo to needing groups.

yeah, poisons are nasty. I have an idea: make remove poison spell level 6-7
cleric spell instead of level 9. Thieves and warriors who dont have it yet
could prac it, and it will work. And less chance of backfire if you are caster.

What the hell ya whining about. Orcs using poison?!? waow, that's new. How about start using poison too, or is that too 'lame' and we don't want to be called lamers, now do we?? im not bitching about poison, bitching about my rotten luck backfiring to frozen, and although you cant tell by the log, i was fighting one of the orcs solo for a bit and others left. another thing is, i only ate a bash when already exhausted/frozen. i dont really care if they use poison, its just bullshit that i backfired that bad on such a low level spell

you can do it, another thing that i like about mume is backfire and los, i think its good everytime you cast you take a roll if it succeeds or not. IT WOULD BE LAME IF SPELLS HIT EVERYTIME, AND JUST AS LAME IF I SHATTERED YOU EVERYTIME WITH MY HAMMER. Some times you kick ass, some times you fumble.
