Trophytool results: Total kills 597, entries 446, solokill rate 35,68%.
Solokill rate is prolly way higher, cause usually when you kill someone twice already you get 2 - 1%. Special kudos to Thonr (8 - 6%) :)!

I'm not going to post a log like some other guys, but for all intents and
purposes, I'm retired from MUME until such time as it becomes fun to play again.
This won't happen until something is done about the boring way people play the
game - so I guess it's not anytime soon.

I'll still be logging on from time to time to chat with friends and such, and
read my mumemail, but for now it's adios.

Ugh, first of all, the fact that none of my characters are on that trophy is staggering. (You would have had Neo but I went linkless and while waiting for me to come back your block went down.) Secondly, you were one of the first darkies that I ever tried to fight with back when i hung around in tharbad and you were always fun to fight against, talking shit and such while i cowered at shady after being whipped. The fact that all these great players are being driven away really does make me sad, hope to see you back some day Stormie. :-(

And my computer isn't good enough to run Everquest :-( *sniff*

WOW Nice trophy Stormie! i must admit that you are the one of the best players out there! really you have guts! and all those solo kills... it was was really cool to have fought you like 3 times in tbad, and 3 times rtf (not only with Rydia char...) you did kill Marle my deleted elven scout which was boring to plat so i quited! but who cares! i just want to say that you are a great player! and that a lot of pukes killed you in a lame way! (overkill... linkless... etc) not everybody.. but a lot did that! its bad that many players will quit mume for awhile... or for very long... some of those players i will really miss! your one of them!

Well, i never said i was going to Everquest but yes, it is $8 USfund/month to play i think.
Anyhow... For any of you that care, I have also had it with this game. The main reasons are alot like the rest of the people leaving, except that i dont have a wife or any kids. Too many code changes (more better than worse, but some really do suck), the lack of fun (4+ groups are not fun to fight solo), some of the players that used to be cool becoming less than that, and the fact that most of my friends have moved on aswell. I don't expect most people to care about my departure because i have never warlorded or done anything super-special... maybe that is a reason for leaving too... anyhow.

Well, this is depressing. I agree with whoever it was that said that certain players are spoiling mume with their playstyles.....but what can we do? From past experience, it's really very difficult to control things like that.

People! I hate be buried alive, just taking a break that's all. And that Fnost remark is bullshit, Shala. My favourite pkgrounds has always been the ABR-Eregion-Tbad-Gway horseshoe. But nowadays it's been SOOOO hard to find a puke there. Legends tend to lurk near Bree or hugegroup near Rivendell-Warrens. And there's nothing more lethal in this game than being a grouperwhore in a group of 8, where he gets nuked in half a sec.

Don't blame me, Freddie boy... I'm sure these folks leaving can think for themselves. Anyway, my reasons for quitting are sorta different to others...

Hm, I am or was one of the so called 'Bree-legends", but I try to change my playing style after I visited the merry place called 'Morgul Vale' I'm busy learing my way all over Arda now and soon(??), i hope, you find me some more south and east on the world.
Also I would like to thank Stormblast for learning me bn hunting. And the meaning of a good trap. (Focus + Stormblast vs. Shydae and me at fnost green)

Well it's nice to see a god (Ghostly) comment on so many people leaving. Seems
that at least some gods admit that the game is being ruined by some peoples'
playstyles and that something should be done. I would like to see some comments
by other, higher gods (even implementors if that's not asking too much) on
this topic.

As for ideas, I've been saying that the command 'group' should be removed along
with the 'leadership' skill as it is now. And that it should only be possible
for 2 people to autofollow 1 leader. This would go some way towards making pk
more fun again. Also, a nice idea is to change bob. Leave its efficiency as is,
but make the manacost multiply times the number of people in group (or room if
the group command is removed) when the spell is cast. This would make the huge
groups move slow, and therefore be a less viable option. And we would see more
casters moving around solo, not only as slavebobbers for HugeGroups.

Unknown?! uhm... another fucknut who is scared to death to just show himself to people =P and no its not only Norsu who can piss me off =P I just took Norsu for an example (well he is best known for fucking up mume!)

Ghostly that fucking doesn't mean shit it's obvious that were losing the players that count and gaining newbie fucks that don't play the game anyways just sit in bree etc

Actually I don't think we're gaining totalnewbies. I think the people that are quitting are still logging on to chat with friends/write posts and so on. That way, they show up on the frequentation plots, but I don't think they could be called 'active' players, at least not when it comes to xping or pking.
