Well, men just can't seem to see beyond their own
torment can they? Just gotta blame. Blame someone
for the pain and the realization of who I am. Sold a
promise and when the promise comes due and there is
nothing there it's just flail away at the nearest
bodies.

So what has made Chris so unhappy and how was he
before? If you would like to pass that on I would be
happy to respond and share whatever insights my 17 years of maleness...

It is a male problem. I feel confident in saying
that. I started going to counseling a few weeks ago.
I like it very much. My counselor thinks I am a
creative person who ran away. I think she is right.
She asked me to get a book, The Artist's Way. It is a
spiritual approach to creativity. To illustrate how
desparate I am in trying to find a path that works for
me, I must reveal that I like the book. I discount
all the God stuff, but do enjoy the spirit of the
thing. It has got me writing. I should have been
doing this my whole life. It is very relaxing to
write. I need to break up the pattern of these
sentences with something a little longer and perhaps
more complex.

Anyway, Chris is suffering right now and I can relate
because I suffered a lot at that age and then a little
longer. It is hard to be certain kinds of people.
While that may sound a little self-pitying, there's
truth there. I think that some people see things more
clearly, or deeply, than others and by the nature of
the conflict in visions cannot communicate it in any
satisfying way. When you are young it can be
supremely frustrating and alienating. Usually
loathing of the masses is just a counteragent to
self-loathing. Chris is explicit in his self-loathing.
While it manifests itself as self-loathing it could
be the need to connect that is so difficult for some.
Without the ability to connect with others, the
isolated, sensitive man (in this case) can feel utter
isolation and if the need for connection is part of
the basic personality makeup then what can you do but
hate yourself for who you are.

But then again it could be a bunch of other stuff.

I will tell you this though. I remember feeling just
the way Chris expressed himself in his letter. It is
not uncommon. I would be curious to know what set him
off.

I am still expecting to have lunch with you when you
get back in this part of the country. I hope I can
block out a couple of hours and that we can have lunch
over on the eastside. Got any favorite joints?

Another ramble...

I have been trying to write three to five pages each
morning (largely theraputic - God knows I need it!!)
and gosh darn if I don't just like it a whole bunch.
It is very relaxing to let the mind wander and just
capture whatever comes out. I still have a novel idea
I would like to explore. It is just there to be
written; I just have to do it. It is funny how our
subconsious trys to protect us. My therapist said I
should read Jung. She said that I am not
intellectually challenged by my work and my
co-workers. She said that I have outgrown my life.
Where does she get this stuff?

They changed the names of some mobs at Khuzur and the patrol leader in old tower warrens now assist if you attack the orc-soldiers who were former orkish soldiers.
