I don't know if I look like a fool or not for trusting him, but I don't think that should matter. He should die.
Tryksh2000-11-30 15:43:30
Attack this fucker on a sight.
Gazel2000-11-30 15:45:24
If orc can't defend himself - he is weak. If orc is weak - he should die. Only
the strongest live!
Unknown762000-11-30 16:01:46
Honestly, why ppl still keep trusting Grang? Hasn't there been enough messages on different boards about p(Grang) and his actions? Silly snaga, when Grang is around don't ever sleep and when u're resting hen check 'where' from time to time, just in case...and kill him when you're a bit bigger...
Sharmak2000-11-30 16:14:48
Yeah every1 must know Grang :P
Nazgum2000-11-30 16:23:47
Well Grang is a grade 9, probably taking his aggression out on the fact he's late to hit puberty. He's harmless if you are legend, but dangerous to level 5's. In any case all of my chars kill him on sight and he's always forced to rent or die when I'm on. I think much more legends should treat him in this manner, he does nothing but destroy fun for others.
grunge2000-11-30 17:00:40
i agree completely with nazgum and perform actions likewise
Nepenthe2000-11-30 17:03:16
Everyone knows now that Grang if a sameside pker. Even if you haven't played orc in awhile, it was posted all over the board.
Arkine2000-11-30 17:08:54
Nod Nazgum and Grunge. Hes a child and not particularly adept at pk so he same sides on lowbie orcs....zzzzzzzzzzz
Innocent Bystan2000-11-30 17:33:45
Well, he was a #3 warlord if that proves anything...
Varvar/Gray2000-11-30 17:54:53
Just read boards first if you came back to MUME after long break. There are tons of messages about who Grang is, and about what we must do with him - on Orcs' board too. And btw, unknown innocent - show me plz WHEN and which char of p(Grang) was #3 warlord, or even warlord at all? *grin*
Malak2000-11-30 17:58:39
Believe it was about 6 months ago, and was with Rauko
Fredde2000-11-30 18:34:16
nod malak
Arkine2000-11-30 18:37:51
Obviously the strain was too much for him. Methinks he still has to go.
Unknown2000-11-30 19:10:15
has rauko been on warlords? laf! no way...
Tempest2000-11-30 19:21:06
OscarMeyer and Sharmak have both been on warlord lists too and can't pkill their way out of a wet paper bag. Warlord list means nothing, never has.
Kakarot2000-11-30 19:28:06
If I ever see his filthy smelly self in Warrens, he will either die or be
forced out...its one thing to pk on whity side..there are grave penalties if
once listed..but its another to do it on darkie side where there are no
repercussions of dying once you start darkie-darkie pking.

Its pretty sad if you ask me.
grunge2000-11-30 20:08:17
actually, tempest, sharmak and OM have learned quite a bit :)
OM has a much better excuse than pSharmak though, since .ee link is about 100ms
faster than any USA link...
Grang2000-11-30 20:10:31
by the way grang is gay. I like to talk to self in 3rd person me likes little naked boys to
Malak2000-11-30 20:46:15
Yes, Tempest, thank god that warlords means nothing... now i can justify playing this game as i have never warlorded myself!! =p Someday i will though! I think warlords means you play cautious, you have a good link, some good luck, and of course you still need skill. I don't play cautious, i don't have a good link (about 260), i NEVER have good luck =p, thought i think i have some skill, it pales in comparison to my mume IDOLS!! (a lighter view on why i never warlord.... it helps me from crying myself to sleep every night!)
Orath2000-11-30 20:55:39
Just to be clear, I didn't know he was like this...In fact I had never heard(read) his name before. I guess that's what I get for only reading the news board.
Unknown2000-11-30 21:37:12
yep orath, thats what you get, the * next to the orc choice, that's for experienced players only. That usually infers that you read the boards, and have a clue. Btw, for those of you that don't know, gray/varvar has the ainur tuor (although why he got this name which was one of dain's characters i'll never know, and to actually have it and be a god, you gotta have balls the size of melons, but from the idiot posts ive seen on the mortal boards from tuor, he doesnt seem to bright). flame flame flame flame flame
Dispater2000-11-30 21:56:44
Warlords List is not the sole indicator of how skillful a pk'r someone is, but it is wrong to say that it means Nothing. it means you have accumulated a certain number of WPs -- how you DO that is of course not shown. Now I don't know sharmak from a hill of beans, but OscarMeyer warlorded a BN thief which is no small accomplishment. I think until you warlord a Bn thief, OM has more claim to being a kickass pk'r than you (anyone reading) do. quit trashing OM dammit.
Grang2000-11-30 22:04:49
a few comments: last grang wasnt me, as you can probly tell as he said
he refers to himself in 3rd person the first time, then in 2nd part of
sentence he doesn't :P. nazgum, you were close, but i was actually early
to hit puberty. i'm 11, and have a scruffy beard and acne covering my body.
rauko was a warlord for a short time when i played from a stable, -100 ms
link, but when that changed he went back to his old self.
unknown2000-11-30 22:36:31
youre a 11 year old immature.you have a so what called beard and acne that doesnt prove you a true orc that just proves youre a small brat who cant kill what they should cause ya too afraid! ha ha
Grang2000-11-30 22:44:22
also, strange things are happening, and i have the weird sensations
when my history teacher bends over! she's really purty!
Gazel2000-11-30 22:49:16
Warlord list could show you good ones:) I say if they stay there 6-12+ months
rl, they deserve to be respected
Juston2000-11-30 23:31:46
Um Orath unless you've been living under a rock or haven't read a single title on mume.net logs in a month you should probably know that grang will try to kill you. It's wrong that he's doing it, but come on, you SHOULD'VE known by now. Your first hint should have been the mob in a legend home. What the hell would he have needed you to fight?
sloshed2000-11-30 23:49:04
rauko was never a warlord that's complete bullshit
Oscarmeyer2000-12-01 00:05:57
*nod* Dispater, and *hug* for sticking up for me! Not only am I among the only 3-4 max people who have ever warlorded a bn thief, I have done it on the worst link (by far) of those who have managed it. If you want to flame me, flame me for my occasional whines, not my lack of skill. If I rely on different tactics in pk than others, that is due to my lack of link, not my lack of skill.
Oscarmeyer2000-12-01 00:06:22
Oh, did I mention, I also warlorded without ever using a client of any type.
Akine2000-12-01 00:10:31
Most folk couldn't even level a bn thief much let warlord one. I cant remember Rauko being a warlord but who cares he is the NO. 1 half-wit and thinks its clever to get kills against happless (or in this case, clueless) orcs. Just gove a tell to him to see if he is on and watch your back, he is annoying but he really isnt good enough to kill you unless...see above.
Oscarmeyer2000-12-01 01:10:26
Well, I have to admit, levelling was pretty easy for me. You just have to know what mobs to kill and how to kill them. I had the advantage of a brd from level 9 or so to hero or so level (Some puke had a massive hardon for killing newbies so I led him to a legend bn who cured his addiction, the brd was spare). I levelled up this char before the mp changes though, that must be a HUGE difference now. Also, you have to be selective in WHERE you xp. If you only xp in open areas with lots of escape routes, you aren't as likely to die. I think I only mobripped about 4 times after level 8 or so, if I recall correctly. Oh, did I mention, you need lots of luck and friends willing to give eq?
morholth2000-12-01 01:54:19
hehe yes i remeber this action an dyou was so glad that i gave you brd and some other shit. Btw i warlorded too without client and other shit (with my link) and i coudl only tell that you could warlord bn thief easy if you camp rent when you see that pukes are goin to charge you in big group (eh stupid me i neve do that).
Tempest2000-12-01 02:26:35
Warlording on midlevels cause they die in one stab, then running away at the first sign of a legend and camp renting isn't too hard to do.
Tempest2000-12-01 02:49:33
As for OMs claims about link and client, big deal. I don't use a client, my link is no better than his, and if you think warlording a BN thief is hard, you should have tried warlording a thief in Mume4 when sense life totally negated stab.
johan2000-12-01 09:24:45
well for warlording a thief, that is probably the easiest thing to do, just
get lucky and put a stab in one with many wps and you are there in like 1 or 2
stabbs. So someone that have alot of time and the patience to try and try will
warlord very easily.
I know of a few bns thiefs that warlorded in notime but that is probably that
they have ALOT more skills in pk then OM. Nothing personal but he sucks.
joei2000-12-01 13:40:47
Grang YOU just sound like a fucking pos to me :) even if i ever make an orc ill kill your ass
dispater2000-12-01 17:38:50
It is a simple thing to say it is very easy to warlord a bn thief. if it were so easy to have a successful bn thief, there would be a lot more of them, so i tend to just laugh at your claim. tempest i think every log on mume.net has a comment from you saying that you don't use a client, people who use them suck, blah blah ok we get it already you are the greatest ever
Orath to Unknow2000-12-01 21:02:13
What does reading the boards or not reading the boards have to do with experience? If you comment you should use your name and (more importantly) make some sense.
Tempest2000-12-01 21:40:51
I'm not the greatest ever, or even close to. But I am better than you Dispater ;) You may notice that most good players don't play thief at all anymore, much less a bn thief, because they are BORING, EASY, and pretty close to IMPOSSIBLE to kill if you have any sort of skills.
Oscarmeyer2000-12-01 23:17:06
Ok, here are the names of the ONLY bn thief warlords I remember: Morholth, Oscarmeyer, Belloq, and (I think) one other whose name I forgot. If bn thieves are soooo damn easy, why have there only been 3-4 warlords EVER in this game? If you want to prove to me that they are easy to play, then warlord one 'in no time'. I would like to see you deal with wiztracking hardons that kill you no matter how far you run without bob. Let's see you avoid a locating mage for 10 ticks until noquit goes, without dying moveless. I would LOVE to see you the first time a spamgroup tracks you. Yes, midlevels are 'easy' to kill compared to legends. However, with armour spell and warrior hps, it is very RARE for even a midlev to die in 1 stab unless they are low hps already. And how many 'clueful' legends with 'lots of wp' do you think stand around and let you kill them? Keep in mind, that midlevels are worth 5 wps max, and every time you kill one you can expect 2-3 minimum legends to show up to chase you. Try tracking/sneaking to kill a midlev, then face even a single legend while on low mps.

In other words, put your money where your mouth is.

Also, put up or shut up.
:)
Oscarmeyer2000-12-01 23:20:53
Btw, how you can claim bn thief is easy, boring, OR impossible to kill is far beyond me. Bn thieves get no offensive skills other than missile skill (to 70% or so I think) and stab. In other words, if you don't stab, you don't kill. You also have NO endurance, NO pierce skill, NO bob, NO damaging offensive spells, NO armour spell, NO parry, etc. If I see Tempest warlord a bn thief without hugegrouping or trapping, and without killing linkless, I will stop playing this game for a week.
Unknown to orat2000-12-02 04:10:58
If you can't figure it out for yourself, then a. you don't bother reading the boards and are powerleveled by your labbies, b. you don't know how to read the boards, and therefore have no clue, or c. you read the boards and yet never pay any fucking attention when they say beware! Grang kills on his own side. I figure its most likely you are totally clueless and 1 of the above options. and unknown IS my name (i comment alot on whine.net)
Gazel2000-12-02 04:24:00
Poor Rahyn, you forgot him too!
dispater2000-12-02 10:19:41
Tempest your claim that BN Thief is "BORING, EASY, and pretty close to IMPOSSIBLE to kill if you have any sort of skills" shows how clueless you are...unbelievable...and i was pk'ing on muds in 91, do you think you have something new to show me?
Othrod2000-12-02 12:33:02
LOL
