*nod* just died in wyrdda to norsu + 4. just quaked him to death, was about to leave when they show up, i flee to gate and its locked. I quit mume for this reason: Playing a game where it takes tons of time to get to a lvl where you can kill fun stuff, tons of time to get eq you need to kick-ass, and then lose your eq in a span of 5 seconds with NO chance of surviving is not worth it. This game is more stressful than real-life. *wave*

P.S. If you see me back on MUME.NET or mume itself, flame away. I quit for good.

One thing I do find annoying is the equipment in mume. I am level 36 warrior with concussion and a steel-shafted mattock (wielded one-handed). I lose to a level 26 (fakking barely legend) because he has an Ornate steel-shafter warhammer. Our eq is identicle other than that. Standing one on one, no bashing, and even giving me the first hit, i would still lose =( I have 10 levels, and much more experience, yet because he has a better weapon, i will lose... how lame is that =p

And you didn't even have very good eq... the xp loss at lvl 33 is what, 180k? 200k? Geez!

there are plenty of places to exps in "peace" if you want...but what the hell
why whine about it :) it takes a certain amount of skill to know where your enme
is and avoid him, and have a plan if he does come! if you have quake, you can
also have teleport and prolly store......

Quaking wasn't exactly subtle. Even I noticed some puke was Wyrdda
and I was just catching my breath before resuming spam fleeing from Engelbert
and his pet dwarf. Under better circumstances, I might have investigated myself :).

celeorfilas was right about one - game and whats surrounds it makes me more problems then reallife, work or whatever else=P and time what it takes... those who sit in labs have free, fast connection...exploss for modemuser is like bad candy=(

Is it just me, or is Silm just a bot that sits around resting in traps to soak up free xp/wps/eq? I met him earlier at hillmen, he ran all over arda on foot leaving tracks, then sits and rests behind gates. He senses stab, I pierce him up a bit (was day I think), he makes no effort to flee or cast. Gee, wasn't obvious he was trapping, eh?

i wasnt expecting him to enter like that..
but i did what i could to let him have it.. Valemir or whatever kept store bolting me oustide stonedoor.. so for me.. that was a planned trap.. he didnt even bother to close stonedoor before fleeing .. so what could i do but flee him in there..

Sure are alot of orcs 'just resting' behind stonedoor these days. Mocho might have been quite boring trapping 24-7 when he played, but at least he varied his trap spots occasionally.
