I'm going to enjoy the day you all die painfully and hope to be there to cut your
hearts out and scalps off personally. Maybe I'll see if some orc or troll
would decapitate your lifeless corpses or maybe I'll drag you as many miles

Dain actually said that what Engelbert is getting demoted for (possibly) was legal, the way he used it. Gothmog on the otherhand has another idea...
Personally, I think Engelbert's one of the greatest players of the game.
I don't see how someone can think otherwise when he's warlorded every char I've known him to pk with... Yes I know exactly what he "supposedly" did wrong in breaking the rules.

That *elf* which was Nightchill trying to slain, it was me... He got me to wounded cause my autowimpy was set too high, so i was too afraid to cast, so i fled some n to thbad and Nightchill pursued me and he had to think it will be an easy pk...
Thank to Rys and Zmek, who called other whities, the position of Nightchill changed from hunter to the victim.

i know too what engelbert did and this isn't fucking illegal, gothmog was SOOO pissed that splited in face to engelbert. God shouldn't use their chars for flaming/revange their mortalchar fuckups. For sample pLahnborg flamed me with his immortal for mortalchars Krossens death-hey, i wasn't even involved and also, you shouldn't break rules (charseparation). And yes, engelbert is good player even w/o any mudclienthelp. bleh

I have nothing against Engelbert personally, but if he has to rely on a client
to track at that speed then it most certainly is an action which helps in
PK and should be illegal (I'm of no relation to Gothmog incase anyone was
wondering).

To Eporedax, fortunately for you, I was in no shape to chase you very far with
2 *men* on me ;).

Any help of clients sucks me thinks. Variables, triggers, actions, it is all bullshit, since u can pk without it too. Remove it all so everyone has a telnet clientlike, the aliaspossibilities in MUME are good enough.
OR make CLEAR rules what is allowed and what is not so you don't get this strange things happening.
And WHAT did Engelbert wrong then? Getting higher % track using a client or what?

hole in the system, so to speak. I was just about to get one of those buttons

Apparently, he was taking the direction given by track and aliasing it to
a keypress so all he had to do was press one button (he may have even been able
to just spam it, I don't know) and so was guaranteed accurate tracking. It is also
claimed he has between 130-150% track which gives him impressive speed. Combine
the two and you have a very powerful pk tool (many bns can attest to that!).
There is nothing wrong with having fast track, the trick is to have the reflexes
to be able to use it. Chances are you're not going to manage the speeds and accuracy
that a client will give you.

I also thought of getting a variable that I would bind to a key that I could spam so I never got out of the tracks. But I didn't, and thats why everyone is escaping me after the first initiall stab, and if they don't, I know they are luring for a trap, in which case I'm glad I don't have that autofollow key....

If Alo is a good player or not I don't know. I've never really played with him but I know he has the guts to test stuff and take a mobdeath or two and for that I respect him.
He is also a friendly chap who I enjoy chasing whenever he plays Madcat although I never get to kill him.

Using keybindings for fuperfast track is lame I say. If i track someone I do
mistakes sometimes, because i'm not a bot. It is not hard at all to bind track
dirs to one key.
