why use triggers at all?
A snaga2000-12-03 18:27:02
Well, if I had used my flee bind key all that time i woulda eaten about 2 more hits which slows down my xp. Since xp is completely boring, I want to do as quickly and without any problems as possible.
Unknown2000-12-03 18:46:17
hah, cant use bind keys no more in pk hah
Unknown2000-12-03 18:47:35
not having 7dex works too
Oscarmeyer2000-12-03 19:27:28
Now we can truly see the 'skill' many of the binding-users really possess!
Axel2000-12-03 22:04:50
a) who said bindings are forbidden b) those who say it is skill without client
are just too dumb to use it
Daevia2000-12-03 22:59:23
Read the news, Axel. Whos the moron now? :P
Axel2000-12-03 23:06:29
Daevia - certainly you are the moron since bindings are not actions - at least
not with my client
Daevia2000-12-03 23:14:03
Good for you then, but whats the point of a flee binding?
typing f and enter enter enter enter is plenty fast.
Daevia2000-12-03 23:15:31
Straight bindings are fine, but don't use a multiple-use binding. My * key used to have over 50 functions. :P
Axel2000-12-03 23:18:40
the point of a flee-binding is that u move your finger like 1cm to flee
Axel2000-12-03 23:21:14
Daevia - I am too dumb to handle even two funcitons on a key - i use numpad to
move, flee, open and close thats all - and functions keys to bolt, fb and bash
A snaga2000-12-04 00:17:01
Uhm, i think Daevia misunderstood gothmog's news message. Actions that help in pk are forbidden, like before. But his newest post made clear that actions to set variables that you could use with aliases or even bindings was illegal.
Eg. of illegal thing he talked about:
#act {tracks of %1 leading %2} {#variable dir-to-type-with-binding %2}
#alias or #bind {F1} {$dir-to-type-with-binding}.
This would set a variable that you typed with an alias or binding so that all you had to do was hit F1 and you would follow the right direction everytime. Its basically like autotrack, except it autosets your F1 key to the direction he left in.
Eg. of a NOT illegal binding.
#bind {F1} {flee, or colour spray $tar, or say suck my dick Deavia} you get the point
Murdok2000-12-04 01:25:18
Who goes through the work on creating all those "nice" macros?
I use my alt-kp,(ALT+keypad-comma) to send track command and all I have to do when I see tracks, for example "tracks of *an Elf* leading north", is pressing my 8 key for going north... Just as fast as any binding/action/whatever.. Dont trust actions or bindings to much or they will, if configurered wrongly, kill you..

Daevia2000-12-04 01:57:37
Duh, I know this. I'm saying dynamic variables based on triggers are illegal, which is what I've been saying for months when everybody and their dog said "No, you dumb fuck, keybinds based on triggers are OK"
Dumbfuck2000-12-04 06:38:34
None of this was ever made clear, Daevia, you mental midget you, and
obviously other higher ups over the last couple of years were in confusion
and didn't know for sure. You don't run the mud, and you certainly don't
take a hand in anything constructive on this mud, so stop showing your ass
and acting like have all the answers. Noone asked you anyway. My vote
for Daevia as the Fat-Immature-Girl-With-No-Life-Mumer-#1 of the year award.
If the rules have changed NOW, then so be it, but I live for a day that we no longer have to listen to incessant prattle from little kids like Daevia who claim to have all the answers anyway. Clue #1, noones listening anymore.
Diam2000-12-04 13:48:02
Are you sure there is nothing wrong with flee?
GORETONGUE2000-12-04 14:52:50
Well Daevia Mr Know It All, as you KNOW, gothmog just CHANGED the help file "rules actions" to make it clear What is illegal and What is not since previously it was VERY VAGUE and could be interpreted either way. Get over yourself...
