As you see, I had 90 mps when I first started trying to avoid the fight. Locate is incredibly powerful against bn thieves. And with 2 locators after me, I had NO chance without bobs from Shake. I'm not sure if that's what gods want from that spell, but my odds of living there were most likely 1 in a thousand. I would have been safe earlier though if Shake had known demon wolf cave, but I can hardly be picky :)

As I said, the ONLY way for a bn thief to kill a locating mage is with a trap. The lameness needed, however, to resort to trapping a no defense no offense bn thief though, is very high. Unless you can tell me some other way to kill a locator? There are MANY easy ways to kill a bn thief as locating mage, but only 2 for the reverse: a lucky stab on already hurt opponent, or a trap.

Half the reason I died to their oakendoor trap in the first place was because I
was spamming out the north gate, 2n, then west where oscarcamprent always runs
when I chase him (Always runs s of hedgerow into greyflood). I made the mistake
of spamming k *man* at the same time so I hit him west of the oakendoor. He
fled east, I typed east thinking my 2n,w spam was kicking in, and entered their
trap. The other half of the reason I died was because I suck and didn't look east first, but oh well.

The funny part was Gimilzor screaming for a rescue after eating 1 fireball with
Shake buffing and me arachnied, 3v1. Way to go Gim. :)

Hmm, Grunge you have played bn thief and know some mystic way I can defeat groups? That trap WAS meant for 2- an elf and a dwarf. Then mobs yelling revealed their names, and we cancelled trap since they were midlevels. (More evidence I don't overkill). But when a locator chases me, my ONLY chanse to live is to kill or camp. Since Mikala would NEVER let herself die to a single stab, that meant I had to use the trap for my own survival.

Grunge: the ONLY advantage a bn thief has is surprise. Why should I stick around when multiple legends hunt me? I have 0% chance of getting a kill, and high %chance of dying myself. You think it's wimpy, I just think I'm not suicidal. You think a bn thief can pierce kill you with 0% piercing? I can't even pierce kill a newbie over level 10, since they hit more and harder. Think I will shoot kill you? Trading arrows for fballs, bolts, or sprays is not what I call a 'fair fight'. My chances of stab against a good player who knows I am there are about the same as winning the lottery without buying a ticket. I guess since I don't like to die I am 'wussing out'. Let's see YOU play a bn thief, and we can all admire your 'guts' while you get spamkilled 3x/day.
