eh its just a adventure...
just after death i landed near neni so decided to go s and reeq. As usual rangers find my rather fast
See what they do now. Maybe someone finally change rangers and give darkies some chance to play westish?

 so i moved away, good is that now noone stab you when you hidin and rangers are on you
but problem is that they finnale find you and then try imagine bn with 200 hp and for example 8 rangers
you die in 2 rounds or so, if u dont flee you are toasted. so now where bn thief could play eregion 
only maybe tharbad if no rangers near n gate. but its kinda small area, 
So great thanks to all Gods which ruined so nice char as Bn thief is (was). 
maybe nex time reduce just bn thieves mp to 50 or so and give them sun penalty.

I think, rather, hide shouldnt be so damn effective. Only way to flush someone out is quaking. Does anyone see the fabled change that made you come closer and closer each time you search? Sure didn't work for those rangers.

Aye, i can't even count the times Rangers have saved hiding orcs/bns from my quakes. That pisses ME off. Some low mp/hp orc or bn i just chase 4 zones is protected by the same rangers that are trying to kill them. I don't dare quake when my ranger buddies are in the room, as I would be hunted to the ends of the earth!

Two major issues here: First is fuckuped hardon muddle. It isn't just overpowered, it is braindead and absolutely non-rpish. Rangers shouldn't swim
and use 'find the path' spell, leave that to bounders and other mobs west of brandywine. And second issue are bn thieves. They cannot afford bob, they dont have draughts, walking, traveling lore, no endurance. Now how they hell are they supposed to be playable? And since track eats more moves, so does sneak, bn thief class is DEAD.

BOB: can't get because it ROYALLY screws up the sneak/hide. BN statsum is -2 of the whitie one too
Draughts: Only an orc who knows you well will give them out. And such orcies are not common and certainly
not on when you are on. :)
You might as well suggest wearing a gleaming belt too, huh?

I dont know if bn thieves are any different than whitie thieves when it comes to sneak/stab and spells, but its very possible for a whitie thief/warrior to prac bob rem etc without screwing over their thief stats too bad. I never tried a bn thief, only whitie... shouldnt be any big difference. And doesnt oscarmeyer have bob? He have block door atleast eh?

Well, apart from lower statsum and lower wis in general, BNs also canNOT get cure light and HAVE to get cure serious, which is harmful for their
thief skills. And even when you get bob, (meaning you make 15+ wis, sacrificing other stats), it costs like 50-70 mana, and backfires at LEAST half the time.
Block door is way easier, since it's a lower level spell.

I've had bob with 12 wisdom, there's no need to get 15+ to get bob. And there is no way in hell it can cost 70 mana. I think you should try it instead of just rambling about how impossible it is :)

When I unretired I did try bob. It works fine unless you want to be a thief. Make one BN thief and stop posting inane hypotheticals. Well, except for an unlimited reroll perhaps - which might help somewhat, though I am doubtful.

Um well hard to say about bn thieves, but for puke thief such as myself bob costs 28 mana - even my puke warrior casts it at that manacost even though he has like 22 combined wisint and yes he has rem poi/cure serious too.

Hide isnt overpowered...if a thief cant stab there isnt much else they can do...they should atleast be able to hide and rest inbetween stab attempts.

Btw if every1 whine about the hide remove it - and get the old back.That should shut people up (for those who dont know you only needed to do k h.elf and so on).Sure mps lower but now you can atleast hide some and rest.

Nooo, don't remove rangers! ;) Just do not enter w/neni and n/morthan, and let these puke-newbie-legends level up in safe, not knowing at all what *enemies* and pk is! So when they leave to rdell for praccin or for some smobbin (in their hugegroups of course), they are CHEAP 100k ;) Gogogo rangers! Keep up good work! As about "its kinda small area" - are you MAD? Tbad/sewers/Eregion/Dunland with tons exping pukes and tons secrets is "small"? Learn these areas - what else can I say? :P

hide works ok on mobs, but smart player get you out in sec (i dotn tell you how)
and to gray, maybe its really large area but i didnt seen lots pukes there long time, cause there mostly exp bn's and hunt too and if you meet someone tharbad you are lucky. oh ys you could always meet there chief group or overseer but no point to attack as bn thief. To Vritra ; its impossible to get fullreroll as bn tief, i beg for it half year or so and cant get it, so maybe we have to wait to mume8 or somethin. And finnaly Rogon playin thief isnt more boring then playin in group of 4. try warlord one and then we could talk about playin thieves.

Once i pracced bob and cause of my low mentals i had 50% chance to
cast it. Next 50% finished backfiring and 30% of backfired spells
finished in making me fainting from tired. ;)
Now think about bn thieves who will finish in depression after
backfire. They are dead class now but still my favourite in mume

You complain about BN Thief, and yet your forget probably one of the more popular classes in the LoTR. The Black Numenorean Priest/Cleric. They are the suckiest class around. At level 6 I can get 4 spells, 2 of wish are impossible to cast, and the other 2 which are maybes. And the ONLY cure spell is max 6 pracs. So honestly, BN Clerics need to be improved. I had to see what BOB and other spells will be. And maybe give us cure blindness to!
