Ancient Forest
To the north, a building of some sort lies among the huge old cedars. From
here, it appears to have been abandoned for quite some time - it is as
covered with moss as the treetrunks. The floor of the forest here has been
disturbed, and there are tracks of some sort of large canine.

Wooded Slopes
Here the land rises sharply from the forest to the north. Many trees,
outriders of the woodlands below, dot the hillside. To the south, the land
continues to rise, while westwards the Northern downs march on until they
reach the north-south road connecting Bree and Fornost.

High Hill
Here you stand atop a mighty hill with comanding views in all directions.
To the north, the land descends into a gloomy forest, while to the west
the plains stretch away into the distance. Eastwards the ground drops
steeply into a narrow valley, but the slope is so sharp that it is impossible
to descend from this point.

As the land continues to rise it becomes yet more rocky and rugged. Gorse
bushes and a few shrubs are the only flora to be seen. To the north one
hill taller than the rest dominates the landscape, while to the east the
ground drops sharply into a narrow valley which runs north-south through
the hills. The descending slope is covered with a scree of small stones
such that descent could be extremely hazardous.
