Builders have to include trap-places or uber eq, or else noone will visit their zones. Their egos are the important thing here, not necessarily Mume.

Its tree nw ford, foliage - the fucking room is noflee even with an exit down and foliage open. I didn't know about it, doubt many did. I personally think that places that are noflee without exceptions are quite dumb, I hope one of the immos will correct it.

Well, lets all be honest now, that was a sweet trap. Nice one Nazgum, Kokeski and Co. I had no clue about that place. I thought Courage's use of his scrolls was excellant. I think most players would have panicked and either spam used them on self or forgot they had them (me). Too bad purples really aren't worth the paper they are printed on! Rogon is right about the V+ getting killed and then there will be a change. Wasn't that the case with the door at the Stone Stair in Warrens? Bad precedent imo.

Nazgum complains to me after fight that he spammed me to rescue him but i never did. I count twice where i do in this log, but i guess he was tired since this was 3am our time =p Also, Nazgum did find out about this place while mapping with a groupmate that had search, but later he was told it was noflee, and it gained a whole lot more appeal! My set included 75% armour, an unenchanted reg morningstar, a spiked shield, and 0 draughts. You saw what Naz had, and Kokeski had barely any eq and was depressed since he was just linklesskilled by Karla. Horast had some decent eq, but ended up only briefly buffing man. If they kept their cool for just a little longer, i believe Naz woulda died at least. Understandable not to keep cool when you fail 20 flees, and your dwarf dies in about 5 rounds though =(

I just checked out this place and it is FLEE-ABLE!

It is NOT NO_FLEE! Maybe it got changed recently but I did flee out of it :P

well, I knew after first successful trap in that spot it
would be changed, so I spent most of yesterday waiting
there. I'm sure courage spam whined with his ainu
for them to change it, though I fail to see why.
No flee rooms are much more dangerous for the trappers
then the trapped (especially if the trappers are
dark with rd so close)

Its From towering pines up is darkcanopy and from the top its foliage. The problem is its flaged noflee, at least it was, I've mailed a couple people and they tell me that it wasn't supposed to be.

well, there wasnt any big door spam by us since its noflee. the main reason we wanted it closed is so that others couldnt track and follow the pukes there to rescue them... doorname is different from bothsides you see =) and unless you got search, you will never guess it =p

Well, the presence of Nazgum doesn't make them work, but he usually organizes them well enough so that they do work. And he was by no means the originator of trapping, but he definitely fine tuned the process =p I see no problem with having ride-able, non-ridable, no-flee, no-cast, no say/narrate, one dir flee, pickable, blockable, no-blockable trapping rooms since almost every mumer is a marathoner nowadays. Its sad that someone with basic-intermediate map knowledge can escape at bad/awful hps and run the 10 zones to safety in a very short amount of time =( Open area fights are only won nowadays when the enemy is poisoned or lagging.

I don't see how I walked into a trap stupidly, if it was a normal one room little trap like I thought it was, I would of been out very fast. I had a rock frag and that would of saved me. Furthermore that room was not supposed to be flagged noflee, I pointed this out, since there is no logical reason why one shouldn't be able to flee there - thus it was corrected. I didn't cry about dying at all, why should I ? I simply wanted this corrected so no one else falls victim to such a lame room, albeit darkie or whitey.

As I have consistently stated, how else can a player from North America beat swede linked ppls (I know Courage is not a Swede but its a general pt.) other then trapping? I say fair play to him. He is one of my favourite ppls on mume (which of course differs from favourite ppls like Gonfor, Bup or Ginlon as I don't know Nazgum very well). Perhaps it is/was a bugged area but this does not rise to the level of bug abuse such as say labs...anyways, ex post facto and all! Nazgum, give my orc none of the equip as I am tiered of giving it straight back to Tempest.
