Oh, well, just wanted to comment that linkless killing bullshit. The short story is:
i whack morholth to awful in demons cave, he runs away by water, hides thoroughly and drops
link (later he mailed me that inet cafe was closing, so he had no choise). I find room where he
hide in 3 ticks, and quake there. He dies insta, so i had no chance to see linkless flag.

As for playing things that is underpowered. What exactly is that? I have played every class and every race in mume except bn (my bn is lvl 16.) So is it bn alone we're speaking of? And if so, how does bns connect with "guts to trap" hmmmm? I've trapped here and there in my days, and it doesnt take guts, in fact, trapping is ultra safe for the trappers. But it's also kind of boring, the waiting, same thing that makes trolls boring. ya know? (am i getting flamed here for not trapping? what did i miss?)

Rogon made the point that the idea of gaming was for the challenge. My point was that there really is no challenge for some labby swedes against a lesser linked ppl. Its that simply. The same goes for those involved in cheating (which, in using labs, is almost implicit). There is a certain fast linked ppl who plays without narrates which I think is fantastic (though way to challenging for me). Labs and cheaters bore me and I have more time and interest in players like Nazgum then nsl and such. Doing something because it is easy or predictable is a sign of the lazy, or simply rather slow, mind.

Morholth, the only way to survive a fight with a locating quakemage is to camp rent. If I were you, I would have just gone to water and rested, so he would have to use mana to locate you. Then when he entered, just stand and move a few rooms and rest again. This way he uses mana locating (not that it costs a staffmage much) and doesn't have the luxury of supertrack. It seems that you had plenty of time to camp (hard to tell with all this editing). It's boring, it's wimpy, it's 'lame' to some, but honestly, it is the only way you will ever beat a locating mage.
