i only seen mestan linkless once in this whole log and the 1 time merlin found him linkless he cancelled his spell. the only thing merlin did wrong was acutally talk to vargas. just proves how much of a moron vargas really is

Well, after reading Nazgum's comments, I decided to give the log another look and revaluate my opinion. I actually went through and counted; the Dwarf with no link had to be tracked after 51 rooms :-) For someone whose link couldn't stay connected, he sure moved around a lot :-) For my reference only, can anyone tell me the name of a client that moves you around when you aren't connected cause I could certainly use one from my shitty ole American link? So I stand by my original statement: good kill :-P

That sure looked like a clean kill to me. I don't even see where he lagged, after he walked out of a TON of spells. I spare Relim linkless w/o flag today, myself. I ran out of big priest fight due to nasty freezes and lag, and saw Relim standing (got suddenly notice, so I thought maybe he failed a hide too) I stabbed him, but he just stood there, so I asked if link was ok then I left. Aren't I such a nice guy? I didn't even look to see what eq he has.

Well, i want play dwarfie too ... Couse my mage (vasilisa) usualy die in 7 seconds freeze from healthy with all fresh spells up. And this can heppend anywhere. For me it was always in open terrain. To stabber, to 4 orcs, to 2 bns and so on :( linkdrop cant help then, but i cant say thouse people were linkless killers. The only person i will kill linkless EVERYWHERE is Courage.

No he is not a linkless killer. He waited for reconnect then retracked him. He was riding a pony. His moves coulda been low. Hell maybe the dwarf was dropping link to look like he was having link probs cause he knew he was dead. notice he was solo and at the end someone shows to help out. He did call for help it seems. He did a pretty good bit of running. I say cool decent kill. I have died flagged and linkless and not asked people or narrated myself about it. As Nazgum said though, a "true" non-linkless killer, a person more moral than ... well anyone i know on the game, would have backed off, or yelled. His friend, that other puke coulda yelled though.

There is one thing i can't quite understand. Some of you say that bad link(lag)
equals linkless when it comes to pk. The different players on MUME have a link
speed span from 10ms-900 ms+. A guy at 10 ms would find 900 ms VERY laggy and
some would probably consider an eventual deth as a bad link death=linkless death.
Now my question is, at what link speed/% packet loss, do we consider somones link
so bad that he must be spared? My opinion is that there is no way to say if this
guy consider his link unplayable or not unless he tells you to. Thechnically you
can spare a normaly very fast linked guy from norway with what he considers a lag
at 500 ms, just to kill a 700 ms linked guy from australia the next minute just
because he considered that link to be of his normal standard.
