I think bolt and fireball and all those gay-ass spells are lame. And so is pounding and crushing, very lame and immature, and also piercing and stabbing, sheesh, how can people use those and go to sleep at night? Smiting is fine though, cause that's what I use, and I guess slashing is sometimes fine, but only when you are running. Barehand isn't lame, except for trolls, then it is superlame. Armour and shield spells are very, very, very lame. I hate when people use those. Not to mention bob, I mean come on people, it's just a game, why use shit like bob? Riding horses is superlame, people should get demoted for that. Especially those gay trained horses. And not to mention mules. Walk dammit if you wanna go somewhere! I think I'm gonna stop playing mume, and it's all because mules!

other skills/spells in the game when it comes to game balance.. well then i won't

is ballanced compared to quake.

You can call anything that deals damage here in MUME lame, you know... And it is absolutely impossible to balance it out, since almost every skill or skill combination here can be pushed to edges and abused. Oh, except ventriqualate or whatever called this spell :)

There's a lot of overpowered shit I hate in this game...hell I'm overpowered in certain situations. I would love it if people volunteered not to use lame tactics but you can never get 2 players to totally agree on what that is. I must say I find Gray's logic disgusting. If you have had something used against you and found it distasteful then I applaud you for choosing not to subject other players to the same. However I call attention to the fact that all of us have killed in a way that someone else (usually the victim) would call lame. I don't know the answer, just pointing out that there's a whole hell of a lot of hypocrisy in mume and we can either do something about it or perpetuate it by doing as Gray suggests.

Eothen, there is difference between 'distasteful things' that you can't control and spells/skills that you learn by your own choose. Yes I was killed linkless - and nonetheless no one still accused me that I started linklesskilling. Because lame thing is killing one who can't defend yourself - but killing one who can't check 'weather local' time to time is not ;) It is his own fault :P

I think i now have the solution for people like Jocke.....Let's remove all weapons from the game(except maybe a few slashers/smiters), and especially shields, since bash is so boring. Bns should no longer exist, as there are no more spells to cast. Niether half-elves or elves too for that matter. Just Humans, Orcs, Dwarves, and Trolls, free to beat the S*** out of each other without any closable doors. Wait, that's right, backstab is LAME!(for some reason i have actually seen people post this, although backstabbing gets increasingly harder). My point is, MUME is a game of tactics, you find something that works, use it! And PLEASE hypocrits, practice what you preach. The whining about bashtraps continues, yet you all use it to your advantage! Sorry bout the long comment.
