Well Rogon does being berserk help then vs fear? Being berserk vs Balrog makes you also getting hurled out of room if he has whip, so mebbe it wont work vs fear.

Berserk helps against fear but i just took wimpy down to 0 since i didnt think anyone would
use fear and i was the only one who could have a chanse buffin some of them...

Being berserk = no fleeing if you are feared. Balrog throwing you out of the
room is completely different.

Fear spell is just equivalent of making you type "flee", so yes berserk keeps you from fleeing fear spells, because when you are berserk mume does not let you flee.

The funny thing is that it took Magica some 30min rl to just "editing" this log =)

Woohoo, I was the last troll to die! And I killed that incap orc! Ohh what fun... Umm a few things; no we were not trapping, Ozon told us there were 4 pukes doing scaly so we entered with 4 initially thinking we would be in priest. Not sure why but we were at portcullis instead and completely suntrapped which was nice *poke Ozon* :) The rest of our 'group' trickled in after a while, guess they saw portal at cave and jumped on in. Bhael was highest level there and basically insta-sundied thanks to Maya fearing, next highest was level 16 Monty I think. Ohh and there was only one orc, that being Sharmak, plus Ozon. So 8 legend pukes, one sancted vs 3 legend darkies and a bunch of tickling midlevel trolls :)

Ohh and Sharmak didnt have darken, thats why we kinda didnt darken...

First of all, there is NO reason NOT to go berser when you have only 1 room to
fight in and sun in the room next to you. If you're not gonna be able to flee
there is no reason why you wouldn't want those extra OB that berserk gives.
also, Sharmak, what were you doing there so many if not expecting to overkill
somone? Hypocrisy.

Magica, your log is nothing less than great, in particular due to the use of fear vs. trolls in a room with sunexit. I, for one, and certainly any troll player who didn't know gain pretty important knowledge about using berserk against sundying to the fear spell. (I have until now just suggested wimpy 0).
Apart from that, and this may seem a bit cruel, if there is a working defense against the fear-sundeath situation I don't feel it's wrong to use the fear spell. Better to have sundeaths due to a coded attack that can defended against than only due to lag. If not, remove sundeath altogether, since it is only supposed to work as a destroyer of those with unstable links, and that is just icky.

Rather I feel it's the troll race that should be boycotted until sundeath is removed, for I feel it horribly unfair to harass a player trying to win a fight against trolls with the methods most obvious. It's not the players fault but the coding, and it would be so very easy to change. Until then, boycot the trollrace by not playing trolls. Orcs are not that bad.

I should mention that I don't play troll because of the sundeath code. I do play orc, once in a while, because the maluses make the race interesting. The sundeath code is not interesting or acceptable.. but players who don't accept it as it is should simply not play troll. Those who do, stop blaming others for your own fault in making a troll in the first place.
