Formenos
Among the hills in the northern parts of Valinor, the great keep of Fëanor lies
hidden, secure and strong. As the ages passed the halls were filled with beauty
as the Noldor gathered and forged a multitude of gems, and weapons also. Here,
the Silmarils, the greatest treasures ever created, were locked in a chamber of
iron. Great white pillars, sparkling in the light of gleaming gemstones, lift
the ceiling of the halls towards the sky, forming a perfect dome upon which are
fitted sparkling stones of various colours. Standing by the walls are chiselled
statues of marble, and above them are great windows that open up to the skies
allowing the light of the stars to shine unhindered onto the gleaming crystals.
