The only thing more annoying than dying to some huge super-linked group is listening to all the nsl bashing on mume.net. In fact, I've gone a full 180 and now -support- the nsl on the basic principle that their detractors rate higher on the 'asshole' scale. I especially find this shit annoying because I know that 99.99% of the people who bitch about the nsl tactics would turn around and play exactly the same way if they had the skill/lab/link/group/whatever to pull it off. Don't get pissed at the nsl for the tactics they use to win, it's the mume code that makes those tactics work.

Don't give us all that : they are not playing fair, noble or whatever. If You could use some lame tactic to constantly win, you would. I don't like the PKing on Mume and don't participate in it, but the world is so great that I keep coming back, even though I am constantly killed and take forever to reequip.

Final word.. I'm playing to have fun. The fun in MUME is Player versus Player killing.. Can we agree on that? To kill ppl is fun.. So we do it.. But i dont rly understand how you can complain so much. I know im not a very skilled player.. who cares? I sure dont.. I'm enjoying myself anyways. We got ppl in our lab who are quite good players.. Zaber, Elmir, Galadon. and some more.. Do ppl complain when Elmir kills anyone solo? No.. Do you complain when a normal puke/darkie group go out and kill ppl? No.. But suddenly when we are more then one person in a group its a Hugegroup and overkill.. We foght groups our size every frikking time.. Do we loose? Sure, sometimes.. But as soon as we win we're lame.. I know im not gonna change anyone's mind on this but you wont change us either. Cause the facts are: We have fun, We can 99% of the time get groups to join, Certainly we get eq from ppl, we get kills AND as a bonus we piss ppl off.. And the sad part is that noone can ruin it.. Even if all the pukes/darkies deciuded to ignore and hate us we'd still have fun.. When in full force we are about 9 ppl who can alone do just about anything we want.. Thats life.. Either life with it or fight against it. I know i dont rly care wich of em it is. Cyas out there.. in the GAME =)

You have totally misunderstod whats fun about this game, so what you "think" is fun is nothing compared to what you would have thought if you knew what fun there is to be discover for you. Some hundred people cant be totally wrong when they say that they think you all should leave the game, can they? I mean, I hardly play at all, only to remember the old times and talk to people, but during my stay since you all came to Arda, its been really boring (we always had labs, always had overkills etc... but not like this) I mean... not even a challange. To NSL, why u/your playingstyle sucks... Any1 walking around a bit, getting hit by a bus (NSL/ANY hugegroup), dying at times (yes, a 500msfreeze kills ya) isn't fun. Mainly coz some of us spend a week or two reequiping (eket+fgc just dont do it anymore). I have seen ppl come back from pray getting fullset, after i had been denied coins for lantern to retrieve corpse, and shit like that pisses me off. No this isn't pure NSL, some more ppl do stuff like that, it's just more convenient to group em all under one name. Kindof like i know that some americans are smart, still they are all dumbass americans (even if they really swedes :P).

Majere is perfectly right. And - Baazunga - roleplay is for little kids who still believe into elves, hobbits and fairness of the life. If you play so much time and still like roleplay, you are either kid, or very lucky man who never faced any troubles, or just crack-brained (or last two at the same time).

Hugegroups are easy to avoid - teleport/hide/know secrets to rest in/know areas to spam out/earn some money and install nice link after all! Or just hugegroup yourself. Where is their fault that you can't manage to do smth like it?

The only real thing I hold against the NSL is that they mostly play puke. What tended to balance this sort of thing in the past was that the super-linked large-group labbies played darkie. So you had this terror group, but it was outnumbered about 4 to 1 by the pukes and had the mume built-in race deficiencies. When the NSL plays puke they have everything on their side: numbers, link, lab, race stats, skills, uber-equipment, you name it. Puke side is supposed to be for slow-linked unskilled people like myself. :)

You get nicer kills. Since most of the darkie players actually know how to play.
For Instance when I leveled Vridush up from 21+, I and Rhuka got like 200 kills on 3 days,
tons of eq, wps and exp. I got really bored since it was way to easy to kill all the newbies!

The so called NSL have a tremendous advantage in communication and similar, but IMO it is exaggerated a lot of the time. In my experience, NSL, like anyone else, can be assholes, or your best friend, like anyone else... I know if ppl pissed and moaned like me, or anyone else, like they do at NSL, I would not hardly be able to put on my most friendly face when talking to them ;) Anyway, I'm a full-of-shit-nsl-sucking-up-to bullshitter, rite?
