What would most have you done? Spammed west? Well he had hardly any moves/mana/mount. They would have caught up to him withing seconds, and he would have died. At least by giving them a runaround he managed to live... though the whole roots incident was pretty lame imho =p Just kill de damn spider first! =p

there was not much I could have done, Norsu spams instead of tracks usually,
I couldn't afford to cross any track rooms like fork. If I ran west there is nowhere safe, and as you can see in log, I did not have much moves, I had to go east and go for horse (Mage on foot in mountains is nasty).

Nice playing by Sunaire in not spamming west and going moveless on road but hanging around noc to get moves/mana. I personally thought you were getting port mana but hell what do I know. =p

Nice way to solve it would be to add accounts like the Dane page. Since Gothmog is working on this page, he could set up accounts related to the player accounts on mume. Make it so you have to log into this page like you do on mume.

Although, I would be one of the first to vote for the bringing down of the log section of mume.net. Think about it: 75% of logs posted are whines. Out of the 25% of good logs posted, about half include traps. By posting logs of these traps, they are exposed and very few people fall for them anymore. The 2% of logs posted that are straight one on one with skill shown on both sides is such a miniscule percentile that it isn't even worth keeping this section up for. Then there are the dozens of whining comments (mostly posted by lamer nonames) that proceed after each log.

I notice that when I started, log pages were very rare and most were personal pages where the webmaster was the only one that posted them. I also notice that there were alot more newbies. This new generation of mume player (came about ... circa late m6) has at his disposal many logpages, statpages, and mappages. By removing these pages, I think it would benefit everyone in the way that we don't need to hear whines, we don't give out vital information, and players that have only played for 6 months, are really newbies. Just venting a little, and tossing the idea up for discussion.

These logs do a service by providing maps, information and a general sense of how the good players play. If you don't like the logs then don't read them and certainly don't comment. Well, whats wrong with that? You may not want to seem elitist Alweon but thats exactly what would/will/has happen(ed). Mume is still so vast that it does require years of playing to the get the map knowledge and the skill to know how to pk well. Most ppls (unless you are on a swede link playing against even experianced ppls you can get a lot of pk fairly easy)are not very good at pk until they've been playing for a while. And after all, true skill is about outsmarting you opponent, having superior knowledge based on knowing a god or some other secret that is not readilly availbale is not very skillful imo.
