Bend in the Trail
The trail bends north and east here, around a large pillar of black rock
standing at the side of the road. In the east the trail continues further into
the range of mountains, and to the north the trail seems to make another sharp
bend. From this distance the pillar of rock appears to have been crudely carved
in the shape of a humanoid, wearing some sort of crown, but the ravages of the
weather make further detail impossible to see. To the south there is a rocky
path leading to a wooden hut.
A small campfire burns here, its low flames giving off only a little light.
A warhorse (G) is standing here.
Forin the Dwarf, wielding an ornate, steel-shafted warhammer, is standing here.

Halls of Mandos
You stand in the Halls of Mandos which are larger than any mortal can grasp.
All mortal spirits are summoned here after their death yet the Halls never
fill since they expand with time. The cavern walls are clad with tapestries
woven by Vairë the Weaver which depict every event of the past and of the
future. A bowl containing a few drops of the pale dew of Telperion is the only
light source. The throne of Mandos can be seen in the largest cavern.
