Well, at least this log seems to show you were afk, not linkless. I saw your tracks inside woodendoor, went around on river to see if anyone was in. Stabbed you, you didn't cast or anything so I figured you were afk (you were resting to start). You fled next room or so, I started stab, then thought 'what would *gimil* be doing afk? so I tried to cancel stab JUST after I entered it. I got freeze, you died.

Still sucks though, obviously wasn't a 'fair' kill, and I certainly don't deserve the eq/wps (am working on trying to return the eq).

I stated b4 that I feel afk is free game, but that I would only do it to someone I didn't like. Gimilzor doesn't fit that category, so I feel like shit now...thanks to 1 little freeze :(

As I stated, after I started 2.stab I realized that an NSL would probably NOT go afk (They can spam anywhere in under a tick for safety) so I tried to cancel stab. This is the first time someone ELSE died to my bad link :P

Hmmm well as a stabber you KNOW that no bn waits for a second stab unless they have spammed to (perceived) safety. I call bullshit on this one Aschit, you knew something was up. That said, going afk is not the same as linkless so Gimilizor assumed the risk.

*sigh* you people can't read? I said I thought he was afk, was going to kill him (afk is fair game), then decided he was linkless and tried to cancel stab. I couldn't cancel due to freeze, so he died. It turned out he was afk anyway, so it was legit kill. However, I don't kill afk unless it's someone I don't like. I *do* like Gimil, so I feel like shit anyway :(

Just so you know, it *is* harder to stab while carrying a canoe (or other heavy objects). I've tested this thoroughly, both in PK, and in 'testing' situations.

well aschit still rocks but I think killing afk is kind of lame, the person isn't playing the game at the time you attack them so they can't defend themselves, and it's no different then linkdead imo.

ive mobdied and pkripped quite a few times afk, and boy it sure does
suck. but ive never been apologized to! In a full pk environment
like mume, if you go afk, you assume the risk! fair game, I say.

Have to be on the same line as GRunge here. Aschit, how do you know he didn't have
one of those freezes you have all the time, completly unable to move? That's one
of the link issues. How can you possibly tell if a guy is afk or linkdead without
flag? And Tandada, i think the translation you're looking for is "reconstruction
afterwards in order to save your own skin" ;) Btw, you know i like you Aschit. :)

As I said, my only clue to his status was the fact that he was resting, behind a door that he had picked shut. Kinda strange situation to lose link in. If I had ever had even a thought that he was linkless, I wouldn't have stabbed him even once. During the second stab, when I suddenly thought "what if he's linkless and not afk?" I froze myself and was unable to cancel, even though stab had just started. Sucks that my first kill on Gimilzor (I'm sure he has me on trophy at least a few times) is in such a situation. And I agree with Nazgum here, even though Gimil has killed afk b4, he hasn't killed *me* or any friends of mine afk, so he didn't deserve for me to kill him afk. Now my warlord status is tainted with 'he kills afk', even though that is one of only 2 kills in this char's history (7 years) that were linkless or afk.

BTW, I specifically remember one time at least where Gimilzor spared me with link problems. Why would I intentionally kill him then, knowing that there will be *far* more opportunities for him to kill me linkless than me to kill him?

Last comment for a while (I hope). Just so you all know, I tried to find a way to give the eq to a *whitie* of his, but the legality of it was a bit fuzzy and neither of us wanted to risk demotion. Then I tried to give the eq to a friend of his instead, but that was a bit 'iffy' also. So I gave it to a totally different player, who pGimilzor said he respected as a player. (In short, I kept *NOTHING* from the kill (and he had damn good eq) including gold. If I could drop the wps/xp/trophy too, I assuredly would. pGimilzor knows I screwed up, and how, and I'm sure he'll find a way to make me pay for it in the near future :)

Just for the record, so you all know, I drop link before going afk in an unsafe environment. So if you see me doing nothing, and I'm not linkless, then I must be frozen. :)
