*CACKLE*..Well..let me put it this way: this is some kind of elevator.
The absence of elevator cabins already gave cause to numerous jokes in the
history of mankind, some as old as the pyramids. What do YOU expect when
you step into an empty elevator shaft...True...in more "modern" times ppl
use things like doors or warning signs to prevent things like this to happen...
but dwarvish mines are only for the TOUGH guys who give a shit about doors
and signs.

Just the damage you get from there is kinda changed.

That's not strange at all. It means someone had taken the lift *up*, and gone back out via the other exit. Like Axel said, look next time :P

I think with the advent of lifts in mume we should look into paving oer in a super high-way and consider the introduction of the internal combustion engine.

Yeah, good thing they have doors and signs for empty elevator shafts. If they didn't, I would surely fall into them and die every time the elevator wasn't there. That's because I am blind, and don't use a white cane, and walk with no sense of caution of concern for self preservation. I just follow the guy in front of me.

Most DTs in muds are simply exploiting the fact that it's a text-based game where you can't see where you are going. In real life I don't have much problem with walking off the edge of cliffs, walking into bottomless shafts, walking into the LaBrea Tar Pits, swimming purposefully into whirlpools, and other such ludicrous situations.

Well... what i ment was when its dt then followers should't come or what? like all other dts on arda... and if it wasnt dt and it was some deep pit like s3w from there i should survived cause i have maxlimb and i darn walk up / down like spider s3w from that liftspot. and aye i was fool not paying attention on that little voice that kept saying look north b4 u enter lift :P

What was most surprising in this log was that Azazhel didn't sit there.

It's not a dt since one person survived. It's a climb exit.

Or in fact a mudlled exit not a climb exit. But not a death room.
