That may not have really been Rogon, but he's got a point.  If you want to fight 1 vs 3, make sure they aren't legends.  Course, the other thing is that a bn's main weapon is fear... fear and suprise.  Two!  A bn's two main weapons are fear, suprise, and alot of defense!  Oh drat!  You at least didn't have fear OR suprise in your favor.
