oh and btw wtf is this map? zones near me? i dont get this at all :P
araldale2001-06-02 11:26:59
I beginning to think i'm the only person that believes in the rule if it ain't broken dont' fucking fix it, i mean wtf kinda changed was this to locat? it's totally useless now? Or perhaps i'm wrong but it seems that way to me.
araldale2001-06-02 11:35:49
nm ok for som/e reason i coudlnt locate staff in bree is why i guess, it does work but just shows some zones and is way to huge map ok sorry, got it understood, guess it sucks imho :P.
Rackhir2001-06-02 12:58:42
im not sure how this works first you cast id on lets say a fgc and you get a locate key and then you locate that key and you get to se all the fgc's in the near by zones or something
Urchin2001-06-02 13:20:01
Sure it was perfect before, a little too good. You got reports from half of
arda about what you located. Now you only get the 'near' map, and to compensate
its bigger. Alot. And I got a screen with some 60-70 lines, no problem to fit it
for me.
Urchin2001-06-02 13:20:50
Btw, I forgot to mention, if its too big for you, try a lower range.
(see help locate for more info)
Aschit2001-06-02 14:11:56
IMO, it *was* broken before. At the time, mages had supertrack (still do :P) and a spell that told the exact room someone was in. Quite a nasty combo for fighting any non-bobber.
Ostu2001-06-02 14:16:09
I miss my old locate! ;-) Non-bobbers were dying, dying and dying again... Anyway they still die, so not that I care much.
Manatark2001-06-02 14:41:16
This output reminds me a nice warm apple pie.
Tharain2001-06-02 15:42:47
looks more like mister Hanky to me...shrug
Araldale2001-06-02 16:46:05
Hey i do agree and have stated on several OCCASIONS that mages should not be best trackers in game it's retarded, i mean the leaders which are warriors mostly, should be the best trackers and there not, or a thief but not a mage.
Aschit2001-06-02 18:33:51
The problem is that with the exception of fighting skills, many skills useful to non-casters depend largely on caster stats (track, herblores, even wilderness I think). My level 14 bn mage has MUCH faster track than this level 39 char, and the bn still has some 7 pracs left he can put into track. Perhaps some ranger skills should be weighted against casters? (Not all, would be unplayable if it were hard for a mage to prac ride, for example) But for herblores to be dependent on caster stats especially is silly, since the whole point of herblores is to give alternatives to magic. If you have decent enough stats to rely on herblores, you don't *need* the herblores to begin with :P
Arciryas2001-06-02 20:01:03
Perhaps we could make herblores dependent on dex -- you have to be pretty deft to mix all those ingredients. And maybe some dependence on per -- gotta see which herb is which :) I.e. make it so thieves rock at herblores :)
Moonshade2001-06-02 23:02:54
Aschit, donwngrading mages is NOIDEA! At least de-facto, that is...
Unknown2001-06-03 06:17:48
mmmmmmm...apple pie
Joss2001-06-03 19:47:13
would be cool if mages sucked on track and had to use some spell instead(filling the same function as track)
Manatark2001-06-03 22:52:01
Tharain, that is only cause you have no idea what cool things you can do with an apple pie...
