Ehhh, *comfs* :( but damn, u're crazy :/ I would've thought twice before entering... or well... I wouldn't have entered at all :/ and yes, this 'cannot attack' bullshit blows bigtime :/
Shadrach2001-06-27 13:33:10
BAAH! thats nothing!
Once i charged in there wielding a spoon while covering my private parts with a green hood. I would have died of happiness if I had a leaf and a pair of pants. The youth of today is so spoiled. *nod self*
Shadrach again2001-06-27 13:36:11
Oh and making the gods remove the illogical "you cannot attack and flee at the same time" which makes no sense at all, is about as likely as if the swedish socialdemocrates would remove the arbetsgivaravgifterna (employer's taxes).
Tharain2001-06-27 13:40:22
comf man, thats all...
Verminaard2001-06-27 13:40:30
I fucked up some with exits. #ali {pr}={close exit n;close exit s} and #ali {p}={close exit w;open exit s;flee}. It hit some "pr" instead of "p". And if none
understod it yet, that wasn't my gear (I just love it how everyone post
what eq they lost in a fight!) in the intro.
Shadrach2001-06-27 13:46:55
A real man is naked. And a really real man likes to be naked with other naked men. And a REALLY really real man likes to hug other naked men while he himself is naked. *nod self*
Shadrach2001-06-27 13:48:26
I mean, even the ancient greeks were bottyboys.
Jocke2001-06-27 14:34:36
Sorry to have to break it to you Verminaard, but 10 vs clasher were just as common
when there was no hit delay.
Moonshade2001-06-27 14:51:21
Yeah, remove approach and postflee delay... and 3-4 smiters with .se link will rock anyone in no time... Do you really want it?
feon2001-06-27 15:01:37
yes
Gulag2001-06-27 15:11:04
I'm hungry.
Core2001-06-27 15:23:14
heh, and how much would not casters rock without postflee delay
Shadrach to Moo2001-06-27 15:51:51
OH YES!
Shadrach to Gul2001-06-27 15:52:06
Get a job?
grunge2001-06-27 16:41:42
verminaard is cool :)
balzak2001-06-27 16:56:22
that was very cool, comf on death, on my link i would have never done this
Rogon2001-06-27 17:02:29
There was alot more hugefights with old ford-bend, that area did more for big groups than any argument you can pull out of your ass.
Unknown2001-06-27 17:30:16
He was sooo dead!
Alweon to Core2001-06-27 18:54:27
Well, obviously casters would be able to cast right after they fled too, which in my opinion would balance out the postflee hitdelay being removed. Also, approach licks sack and the movement cost of tracking a victim is also something that should be removed. I guess they just want to make it easier for someone who is losing the fight to be able to get away. Removing those three things would definitely make for WAY more fun solo/smallgroup pk. And yes, hugegroup clashes have been happening, at least since I have been here, and it always sucked.
Fredde to Shadr2001-06-27 19:03:25
hahahhahahha "get a job!" ahahhahahaha
Thorne2001-06-27 21:33:03
brave or stupid? I vote for the later
Almariel2001-06-28 02:48:02
No offense to anyone involved, but hugegroup clashes were a staple of MUME
many years ago. It is much less so now due to various factors not limited
but including the fact that 10 people cannot be attacking the same person
at the time, block/break being introduced, proliferation of scrolls, poison, etc.
IMHO this is neither bad nor good. I remember when hugegroup fights would
crash my dinky 2400 modem. It is too easy to get insta killed in all this
spam, but there is a lot of fun in the mindlessness of it too. And a lot
of time if the groups are evenly matched - tactics DO matter. In any case,
as one of the people with a sad US link, I am quite happy about hit/flee delay.
Yes, I have gotten screwed over it myself, but overall, this has evened things
out somewhat.
