Tom is not blindable, not with spell atleast, maybe with obsidian eye? hmmm... anyhow, he's agg to orcs, and like all other mobs with a few exceptions (hardened rangers...) he's not on trigger, so he doesnt hit instantly all the time, so ...

Yeah, your mistake was that you instafled and orcs folled you, you didnt give Tom a chance to hit them. Tom does not hit instantly. He is blindable. All you need is best equipment and very good luck.

Hmm, if Tom is as blindable as shady inkeeper, then good luck trying :)

Buffed tom healthy->hurt and he hit me hurt during it, he doesn't have terribly high ob (i had 153 def and dodged like half hits), but when he hits it does hurt :P went aggr to assist after being rescued and took one hit hurt->bad when he switched

he shouldnt be killable imo. I mean, in the book, they actually discussed if Tom was mighty enough to take the ring and defend it vs whole sauron army =p And if he is to be killable, then he should hit trolls healthy to bad in one hit, and sanc doesnt work! =p
