I dont know, but what I have experienced with the new flee, it isnt great...it takes way to long for another flee attempt to go in, and well it really sucks for solo players. Especially when they fighting groups that are spamming bash. One failed flee and your bashed and probably dead. No more spam flee!

This flee system seems realy fucked from all logs i saw, i didn't even tryed it cause got no time/link to play but ... If they leave it like this i will stop to play all my caster chars and start to play only perma sanc fragir/max dex defence wars, all hugegrouping/overkilling only. Or i stop to play mume at all cause i will be always overkiled when i meet some 2+ darkies solo.

This change is truely moronic, before i could buff to awful and then start fleeing, but now i have to start at low wounded to get away in time!
Also it has decreased the need of skill for killing and increased the importance of luck(I bet breelegends like it).
Damn, even slowlinked people could flee faster manually before than they do after the changes.
I say, keep the new system for slowlinked/clueless people, but also make it so that if you type flee several times, you will try to flee every time, as it was before, that way shit like this wouldn't happen any more.

I just had an odd thought, that fleeing is becoming more like swimming:

Anyhow, tried to solo Amon some yesterday: best case - you flee the very moment
you type flee in which case it is insta. 2nd and 3d fleerounds you're (me)

badly - I thought that according to news post taking a lot of damange
would make it -more- likely for me to flee, but I really couldn't tell.
Had a touchy moment there or two, but now I got a better feel for the system
(which doesn't exactly "suck" but is definitely dubious in places).
Frankly, I'd like to be able to modulate fleeing myself - like spellcasting
is done. Quick fleeing where you use more mps and maybe have lower bonuses
from trying so hard and turning your back on the enemy, but you're more
likely to flee, or slow fleeing, where you don't lose bonuses, but are less
likely to succed.

This flee is kidna nice. Theo nly thing needs changed is the time a fleeround takes. And better fleing when autowimpy hits, i failed 8 flees when olog bashed me sodmat when i had high autowimpy set. U fail all flees from autowimpy if u failed first autowimpy flee=P

Hehe ... as soon as this change was imped I quit playing ALL my puke/darkie legends and made a piercing/maxattack warrior to putz around with. I seem to flee NICELY. Got attacked at level 10 by 3 uruks on abr and I instafled from them and never saw them again. I of course have HIGH dex and wear no metal - hate to think of the gore and mess if I fail a flee to darkies though.

Actually i dont think those other flees are flee attempts, during bash it says some shit about you cant flee etc, thats not wimpy triggering, thats when you would NORMALLY try to flee, if you werent bashed. before this change, you also only got one flee attempt if you were bashed. now you get the same attempt. if you fail, you're spammed with that message when you would try to flee unbashed.. you dig what i'm saying? :)

dex is very important now. my dex8 orc got hit by a small patrol in moria on high wounded and i went awful why just sitting there and watch slowass (5failed)fleeattempts on screen. new flee system rocks for 1 on 1 fights. but new flee system makes groups even more powerful. the argument that this will make up for slower links is nuts cause a fastlinked player is nuts cause you can spam after fleing americans without hitdelay and your caster can quicknuke them while they got the noflee. (of course its easier to kill fastlinked players now which is good, but i think this will be something in the style of the "running function" some old players talked to me about :P)

I really don't understand how hard this problem is to solve. Basically they implemented a flee trigger that is slow while also allowing for zero postflee hitdelay. Why not put flee back the way it was, allow for immediate postflee hits, and allow the panic trigger? It would definitely allow better results.

This feels like some HAL9000 version of old MUME that is trying to do the fleeing for ya. I happen to like the old non-hit delay and the ability to control my own fate.. even if it takes 2-3 flee attempts. The only thing I see here that benefits people is the 'ole double flee back into room to get hit. Well there's a cure for that.. pay attention and don't panic during a fight. *shrug* Lobster

2. maybe now that you can kill some1 with just 1 warrior and a caster, or even
just 1 warrior hit/flee =) the huge groups will get smaller but its allso a huge advantage for the hugegroups to hit some1 who cannot flee :p

then as well. Having said that, the new flee did nearly kill me yesterday in tbad.

Well first of all.. you don't hear people complaining about 1v1 fights now! The
flee works just fine you dork. The #10 flee is a ridiculous statement..any (P)
that does that will die simply due to exhaustion./////
One more thing, when writing supportive statements about one position, it's generally
better to not 'also' write supportive statements about the 'other' position.
Your comment about how this will reduce huge groups and then turning around to say
it's a huge benefit 'for hugegroups' shows you really haven't thought this through
yet....
