Ok, I'll put some fact here, my labbie, khazdul, just died x2 because of the "improved" flee. If you meet 5+ hitters you will die even how hard you try to get out, You fail some flees(you always do) eat 4-8 hits, flee, they come in in room again, same thing, if you escape it's pure luck. I think this is very fucked up. Or the change itself is good, boring that ppl like Sharmak is abusing it leading around 5 smiters.

Okay boys, understand: I have a shite link. So far, I've seen the message - you're already trying to flee! - ONCE, cus that's how fast my link is despite spam fleeing still (I'm not clever with this). And, in fairness to Manwe, he opened testmume many times and ALTERED the flee timings when folks complained. BTW, you dying isn't so much to do with flee as to do with being totally overpowered - if I was there, I'd've lagged and died anyway, in fact, the new flee would've helped...

Well...To me the new flee code isnt the least difference either in terms of speed.
I mean, if ppl complain about THIS...what must their flee speed been before????
And on the plus side is, that you can care about other things while game flees
for you. And all of my oponents so far could still instaflee.

What it all breaks down to is this: The super-linked players of the game, before had the chance to spam flee and get away. Now the flee isnt dependant on link any more, instead its more dependant on game stats etc. The bad-linked players dont really mind, because nothing has changed, while the super-linked players will probably die many times because there link is no longer there to save them.

Maybe while you're at it make mume 6 times slower too, so it's more about thinking and even less about link! Now that sure would rock? Fact is that it IS much harder to get away from spamgroups now, but it's also harder to get away from solo players like this. Means people will die more. Maybe that isn't the worst thing after all? I've died myself to new flee a couple of times (not to moria mobs btw *wink*), but i'd guess so will other people. When it's once again possible to die in the open field maybe this reduces trapping? Les see for a few weeks before whining more.

U wanna know why i am leading a group of 6? Cos every time u go w, and u are less then 6 in group pukes come as 8 or more! So if i go in group of 6 they all wimp out! I usually go west as group of 2-3 and run back e to get more ppl when i am beaten up, so screw yer self! And Mestan, the way i see it was Khazdul own fault he reripped! Heh, i personally like the new changes ... I really havn't seen any
difference in the way I play, plus now I know that at some point, I will
eventually flee, so this reduces the chance of me doing multiple flee command
and rocking :> plus I can put my flee command in and start spamming directions

Dear Unknown (who don't dare to show is name because he is a big looser RL), I edited the log because I use no log file and had to copy/paste from my scrollback. Now why should I do more work than necessary and copy when I like 1 or 2 rooms or cure from bad to hurt if I don't have to?

But i WOULD like to point out that editing a log the way you have done makes it impossible to decide on whether or not you have a point. For instance the following part:

Hmm. I like the new flee, because it makes it possible for hugegroups to kill without poison. It'll just take a little skill on their part. With my slow american link, I like know I'll get a flee... without spamfleeing and fleeing back into whatever I was fighting and dying horribly (as I have seen happen a few times).

Yup, thats quite an advantage for those of us on slow link's isengar..you know
that sooner or later, you'll get that flee in and you wont accidentally flee more than once back into the same room and eat bash which someone already started on you before you fled out of the room and then back into...only sucky part is that the delay on the flee might be a tad slow in pk, but besides that, its great..and as far as smob's go, you shouldn't be able to solo a scaley beast etc...u need a large party to fight it.
