Dax ... I wasn't blaming the new flee I was posting to show how it wasn't THAT bad when ONE mage gets spammed around by 8 darkies. Would have been very similar fight under old flee system if you ask me.

Comf on death, vridush got me a similar way a long while back. I agree, being spammed right there and going south into a bottleneck like that hurts :(

It's funny, people suddenly die. before the flee change, it was completely safe for a mage to go in and quake 8 darkies and then flee bad dirs and spam even worse. wasnt it? hrm no, it wasnt.

Rogon - I think you missed my point. I was trying to show that the new flee system didn't look much different than pre-change in an 8 on 1 fight.

Well, for the linked ppl who are wondering, the only way to get away from quicker ppl used to be spam 3-4 flees, followed by proper dirs. that is now a bit more difficult. Only option is if u have like 3-4 rooms to spam away in, and just do flee and a few wests for example :P

Well ... in the helpfiles its stated that u get a flee-delay when ppl hits u. So in this case that would add to the feeling of lagging (since it's enter room, cast, flee or getting hit, flee)

Of course, we should all walk like you dax, 9 .nsl hard hitting poisoning ppl with 150 ob, shining etc, max eq. Get one shaman that can bob with it, and you have a little group. (yes nsl look at 10 ppl as small group). There is NO WAY to solo anything now, not as mage, thief, cleric nor warrior. So lets all get 150% leadership and walk with 12 ppl following.

I agree with those who say the new flee system had nothing to do with this death.
In fact, with the old system you'd have even less control over where you'd be
ending up after some (spam)fleeing. Here you just seemed to be caught in a bottle-
neck and didn't have the link/spamhandling ability to see where you fled to.

Despite of what you say, it is now harder to flee from huge groups, especially if their leader is faster than your link. In old system you could have prespam some flees and you had chance that you will get out of their sight for few seconds. Now this possibility is very limited.
