You know it's illegal to "test" things with a throw away char, right?
tbadtestman2001-07-15 21:11:51
No i did not, oh well
ryan2001-07-15 21:18:54
all my chars are test chars, wtf else is there? rp chars, surely not in this game, whore-stat chars, well theres a lot of those.....worthless gimmick chars, yeah some of those....and testchars, they just dont have the name test in them..
tbadtestman2001-07-15 21:31:37
thanks for your inputs you stupid followers
tbadtestman2001-07-15 21:38:38
One other thing how the hell does the worlock sanc himself and the chief in less time it takes for them to hit me???? thats a bit fucked up dont you think
Fredde2001-07-15 21:44:52
ok you got rangers and now you want chief to protect you. what the fuck!
tbadtestman2001-07-15 21:50:50
But since he protects tharbad, dont you think he should protect its citizens, its like the police or army that protects its country to just walk around and kill people for walking into thier office
Natash2001-07-15 21:56:17
Tbad is a weird town, learn to live with it, its fun. chief not being safeplace isnt the problem. Problem is that bns got safespot at ngate :)
Prist2001-07-15 21:58:20
Of course it's messed up... I mean, when you're cit in tbad then pukes could just run to chief and sit there, right? wouldn't that be nice? I mean, chief is there to protect the citizens from bns, right? or am i wrong?
unknowntesttest2001-07-15 21:59:31
who said anything about protect, id just like him not to beat the living shit of me cause i stopped by for a cup of coffee
Unknown2001-07-15 21:59:54
Try walking in to MR Bush office at the white house with a sword in your hand and see what happens.
tbadtestman2001-07-15 22:00:28
See you people dont get it, im not trying to find a place to run and hide or say its to easy for bns to kill in tbad cuz its not, if you know tbad you can run pretty eaisly. this is for the pure role playing aspect.
Prist2001-07-15 22:00:53
Errr.... and since when is n gate safe spot for bns Natash... I've eaten stab at n gate more than once tho I have never died there... but you cannot consider it to be 'safe' place for bns... and now that i'm thinking about it... there are _no_ safe spots for bns... at least i've died in all the places that are mostly considered as 'safe'.
to: unknown2001-07-15 22:01:53

*snore* tbadtestman, you're a joke. You don't want to play MUME, yet you make up a log about how horrible non-RPish it is, and post in so that people who choose to PLAY the game get to read it? We know it's not RPish. Now go find some other ppl to bug with your whining?
TO:Lia/Aira2001-07-15 22:20:41
yeah i do want to play mume, i have been playing now for over a year, its not horrible, i just think chief should be used for some kind of quest for citizens or something, other wise 100 gold is useless for citizenship. Chief is to cool to just waste
Lia/Aira2001-07-15 22:23:05
Yet you have to use anonymous name to report us this terrible fact?
To:Lia/Aira2001-07-15 22:26:47
Well once again, character seperation, role-playing ......
Relim2001-07-15 22:36:41
To Natash: Not true, my friend. Only citizen is rescued at n gate, not 'thief'. I've fought there many times. Sure, hurts like hell if you're cit, but that's all. Not safe for bns there, not at all.
tômek2001-07-15 22:38:18
The Chief of Tharbad says 'How dare you disturb my peace, Tbadtestman?'

hrm, wouldn't you be pretty pissed of when someone picks the door to your office and rushes in? from a role-playish point of view you could've been an evil assassin or whatever. how should he see the difference between you and a bn? you don't rush in unannounced to the president's private office in rl either...
Lia/Aira2001-07-15 22:39:34
*nod Tфmek*
Natash2001-07-15 22:51:05
Bleh thieves shuold be citizen in tbad, what else to spend the gold one steals from chief in 1st place :P
Unknown2001-07-15 22:54:04
What made you think the Chief of Tharbad protects Tharbad? He's an evil, corrupt man whose one goal is to maintain power. He's doesn't care about Tharbad; he only cares about money. Your mistake was thinking that the Chief is some sort of defender of Tharbad, which he is not. He's out for himself. That's all.
tbadtestman2001-07-15 22:55:54
Well i was told by the gods he is only there for city defence so there Mister Unknown
Astar2001-07-15 23:51:05
Shady inkeeper isn't enough to protect you, paleskin?
Rackhir2001-07-16 01:08:21
Hmm think of chief like this!!! if he was Stalin and you picked open his door and just walks in =P I guess you all get the point now
Ramangth2001-07-16 03:07:24
Point #1: Its funny how a so-called 'test-char' can claim anything in the name of role playing. Point #2: Tharbad is probably the most documented place in MUME, with several books (namely Malardil and MA journals) documenting the power struggle for the corrupt city. You would think any RPer who has played here for a year would know that. Wouldn't you?
Aschit2001-07-16 03:12:16
Although 2 other people beat me to it, when I read this log I immediately thought: "Bush is theoretically responsible for defending the U.S., but what would happen if I walked into his house carrying a gun thinking it was a good time for him to have a chat with me?"
Nâlizindubêth2001-07-16 04:59:21
The Chief defends Tharbad because it's his turf. He doesn't give a rat's ass for its citizens, but a Tharbad raided and burned to the ground by the servants of the Dark Tower is useless to him. And he's a tough guy, he's got an image to keep up. So when enemies come calling, he doesn't run whimpering to his hole, letting his underlings do all the dirty work: he plunges right into the shit. Besides, he knows all that blood and slaughter is fun stuff.
Duriel2001-07-16 07:41:01
Note to Cluelessfuckroleplayer: In LOTR if you ever bothered to read it which i guess not, tharbad wasnt a 'good' city, with elves and shite like that, it was a bad/neutral place with evil men and the like, the populus isnt even worth policing because they are all crooks and thieves, so obviously the gods got it right. They only need to actively defend their town when orcs/trolls (which are obviously evil at the sight of them) invade. Most likely why its the safest town for bn's because they are evil men too :p
Axel2001-07-16 10:20:30
Tbadtestman, if you would have given it a thought you would know why Chief is agg to anyone. Wanna know why? Balance. But IMO you just wanted some reason to post YACL (yet another cool log) on mume.net
Aredhel2001-07-16 10:25:32
As the other parts of this log were thoroughly covered (thanks Ramangth and Duriel, especially) Now to a message from the Surgeon General, eh,
from all of us clueless useless boardreading M+: do us and yourself
a favour and read help god (probably better written then anything I can
produce atm). And then do go and read rules some.
I am trying to remember if the latest MUME poll had a question
about ppl having read LoTR, but there should be one if there isn't right now.
Unknown2001-07-16 12:08:38
Which god told you that, Tbadtestman?
