I hadn't seen a wobbit in ages, so I decided to head west and scour the Shire
from end to end. Or at least go stir up some hell around Bree. But before long,
I felt my tired legs quaking and Old Yelloweye coming, so I ran to a dark hole
to bide my time. Little did I know that the hell would come to me.

The Ledge of Theddin's Deep
Between Athoin's Vault and the deep cave of his father Theddin, stands this
ledge. The mud from the Vault covers the rock, making the area treacherous.
Directly east is the centre of the cavern: the Deep. The bottom is some way
below, while its ceiling is lost in the darkness above. Since the cave is only
illuminated by the radiance from the vault, its size can not be determined, 
though it is certainly large. Grey-green lichens grow on the limestone where
the light falls.
