Unless this his 10,000th death (which must be close), what's the big deal. Mammoth is just another spam corpse like Gabriel and a few others who aren't penalized enough for dying (which is kinda the ultimate "loss" everyplace but mume) and keep coming back for more. Gotta love their persistence, though, even if they are a mockery of the game. *sigh*

Well, Mammoth is right though. Kind of retarded that your deaths now are based on a large amount of luck. Oops, I failed a flee, now let me sit here like an idiot doing nothing hoping game mechanics eventually let me play again. New flee is just plain gay. Yet another change you rarely hear anyone say good things about, alot like making wps nonvisible. The GH legends cheer, they people who really play the game get boned over.

But otherwise, like everyone else has said, it's too slow. I wish wps were back to #'s, single warlord list, and yes, I wish Rad would come back and play again, because he deletes in one month!

The gods thought that this change would decrease trapping since more people would die on non-trap fights. What's the difference? Trapped by a blocked door or trapped by the fleesystem? At least when you are blocked in, you have SOME level of control over your chance of escaping. I'm with the rest of you ... this system just sucks.

Before that i was on a dwarf at wounded hps, typed flee.. failed 4
the thing isn't that i failed 2! Thing is with old flee i would've S P A M F L ED
and got at LEAST 4 flees in during same time.

Just before elfie bolted me i was engaged to dwarf as i said.. failed 4 flees,
and so while sitting there unable to do anything but watch, i turned mood wimpy
and closed stonetrap/Metaldoor since we were actually winning with mobs
when dwarf fled I wasn't engaged so the system stopped fleeing with me,
now came in the close metaldoor and close metaldoor so elf had enough time to bolt me
but after that i was ready to flee again which i did, with old system i would've spammed it 4 times for safety
and !!! WOULD*VE GOTTEN OUT!! GRRRR

What's next? Autofollow your enemies? Like 1 room per 2 secs.. so pk wouldn't depend on link but on ?? what!!

Once again so perhaps even Manwe gets it - with old system fast ppl could risk a bit
because mostly fleeing from a battle relied on theyr own speed, but now... pff
relies on luck mostly. Ofcourse you could do some 19dex warrior maxweaponskill/light eq
with new system and be pretty much as fast as you were with old flee but hell!! What about all the other classes

Would it make a difference if Flee were coded to give more opportunities
when you are engaged by more opponents? Kind of a Fear Factor. I dont
understand exactly when the attempt comes in the current system, but perhaps
when each person tries to hit you/approach after you have instigated the flee
command. i guess not much help vs non-engaged casters, but the game has never
favoured fleeing versus magic. Just a thought.

Well Mammoth, i got 18 dex slashing warrior and wearing light eq, failed 6 flees and sk and died like pig... and Manwe, if it IS Manwe and not some moron Unknown, just give me some good reasons why cannot we get free limited reroll, i don't care, just ONE free limited reroll per account at least? None of my chars has 10 dex, most of them have 11-12... and it's possible to raise dex from 12 to 15 easily and with 15 i _believe_ it _should_ be playable...
