First time Bomir: just finish Foy with two others and I have hardly any hps, Mammoth and four storm us three (brave) and I died getting spammed down near Filthy because no hps from fountain. Why join the darkside, it's boring as fuck until all those .ee/.cz labbies rent. Then you got like 2-3 hours afterwards when all the whities are in huge ass groups just in case, then after that you can finally get a few nice fights if everyone hasn't rented from boredom by that time.

I totally agree with you, and altho I've cursed Mammoth's huge
groups a couple of times myself, he has provided some very
entertaining fights and can be pretty crazy - if you rping doesnt
it make sense that orcs could be equally blood-crazed and gutless
and travel in hordes like they did in the books waylaying people?

Because some people have more fun playing mume with 3 friends, than all alone, that means they only care about wps? Oh the logic of it all is staggering.

They should remove the increased ob orcs get in group, add more penalties for groups or give solo players more benefits!

Well, I like grouping with friends too, but running around in a group of four pretty much kills any fun pk I would have. You say you find some fun fights in those groups? You say there is challenge? You complain about 10 pukes ganging up on you? No fucking shit =p A group of four orcs (eg. Norsupack or Mammothpack) can pretty much trample any puke group with the same numbers, so they are forced to come back in greater numbers. Then you get more to help your side win, then they get more and so on and so on until you get those queer 10vs10 fights at oermg/stonedoor or anywhere else. Then again my opinion of fun pk obviously differs from yours, so there is no sense in arguing who is right.

Sorry to comment again but one final point to make: There are pretty much four different groups of people that are organized enough to make a four on four fun and interesting with the risk that either side might lose. Unfortunately you never find these people online at the same time or on opposing sides. Norsupack/Mammothpack/Elestirpack/Fingerorpack... there they are.

Agree with Fujin in all points and Everhate has point too saying that when all those lame pkillers rent you can get some rewarding fights :)

I'm a lame pathetic old fart who is trying to make up a lame excuse for himself and kiss Mammoth's butt.

Here's one possible solution to the 'hugegroup' problem. Make people travelling in groups larger than 2-3 have an increased mp cost. This would be RPish (moving alone is faster than trying to keep a group together), and help gameplay for solo players. I don't mean a huge cost, and it should be a staggered effect (eg, a group of 3 has no penalty, a group of 4 has a minimal penalty, but a group of 8 has a large one.) Leadership could decrease the penalty, of course, but not completely. Unfortunately, a major drawback for this system would be that large groups are already penalized with move delay, and move delay and move cost together would make things unplayable (kinda like sneak: move cost AND move delay are killing one bird with two stones). What might be easier though, is to just make it harder for non-thieves to prac poisons, even if it *is* rpish. Finally, I don't think charging 3 with 4 in FOY is that bad, but the darkies calling for backup in a 3 v 2 fight is silly.

And ofcourse the usual instasmite for non-warned orcs, who were just spamming by. Or do orcs have enough moves to spam all the way from noc to bree :P
