You feel less protected.

You try to channel the powers of darkness into the staff, which seems to
resist with every ounce of its strength.
Suddenly you scream, as painful arcs of lightning jump back and forth between
the altar, the staff and you.

The contest of will between you and the staff slowly continues.
Time passes by, as the target of your malevolence grows weaker and weaker...
...until it can no longer resist and is corrupted to its heart.


The aura around a carved oak staff becomes red, and then it fades.
You feel tired and your mind is empty for a while...

It's that last part where the curse is removed that i put on the staff (on thorough).  curse is pretty low %, so maybe it is not high enough % to do corrupt on puke staff anymore?
