My fingers are still trembling.
I was after some lowbie awful man, all the way from filthy to the old ford, at the
end tracking him on foot in sun. I came to Old Ford in somewhat sullen mood
because of my unability to catch him, when a bear crossed my path.

I called help for roots, because i just didn't feel like being jumped at by pukes

Ah, and yes, one more point: The ability to cure yourself just made the difference AGAIN in a 1-1 fight of a bear vs. a higlvl orc (btw: what lvl are you, Kazibub?). And of course the LACK of the ability to change your mood, well...at least the LACK of any effect when you DO change your mood.

I don't think the 2 levels makes any big difference, although it of course plays its role. And I think the bear definitely didn't suck there, save for the first encounter I deliberately stayed and fought in dark rooms, so the sun didn't make much difference either. It was me, a full-setted smiter, that is warsword, complete metal set and strength ring, versus a bear with fgc. Still he was able to beat me in the first round.
