1 vs 1 fights are the ones i love the most but damn bears suck...

Ah, and yes, one more point: The ability to cure yourself just made the difference AGAIN in a 1-1 fight of a bear vs. a higlvl orc (btw: what lvl are you, Kazibub?). And of course the LACK of the ability to change your mood, well...at least the LACK of any effect when you DO change your mood.

On the other hand, I am a mere level 24 cub, i.e. the power difference between your level 26 and mine ist just as big as between you and a level 46.

I don't think the 2 levels makes any big difference, although it of course plays its role. And I think the bear definitely didn't suck there, save for the first encounter I deliberately stayed and fought in dark rooms, so the sun didn't make much difference either. It was me, a full-setted smiter, that is warsword, complete metal set and strength ring, versus a bear with fgc. Still he was able to beat me in the first round.
