Well, i'm not saying chudwicki did a brave and noble thing to kill balthazar afk. The important thing, in my opinion, is who _STARTED_ it. If chudwicki had killed balthazar afk first, for some reason like, he wanted xp or eq etc, then i would be calling him a jerk now. But since this happened first, and it was so fuckin lame, i think there is no way to get revenge that isn't justified.

I know how to resolve this! Put Irish and Balthazar in a locked room and let them go at it man-o-man. I put my money on Irish.

First, a correction, to "The EQ they kept". Immediately after this i died with some of the eq, to some elves outside. So whether I would keep it or not is not known. Chudwicki instantly had Nazgum spamtelling us to give the eq back (according to naz, naz gave him all the eq---some sort of sugardaddy situation), so I probably would have given him his shit back since naz is so persistent and i didnt need it anyway. Dabura did not see it this way, and eventually died to Nazgum. After that, pudwicki killed dabura a couple more times in noc naked etc, which he admitted to me was done out of spite.
Now as for defending myself, I don't feel that I need to. During my entire MUD career, I have not hesitated to get into sameside pk. I enjoy the thrill of pk, including the aftermath of it (the consequences where "buddies" get involved). I don't go around randomly sameside killing just because someone is vulnerable, or whacking newbies, or sameside afk killing. When I sameside on MUME it is because someone has pissed me off, and everyone who knows me knows that. Well, this guy was really pissing me off.
I first logged on at VT, and he walked in and kept saying "bob", "i could use some cures and a bob". Since I don't know him, and had no mana to spare, I just ignored him. Shortly after, I was resting at Khuzur for mana/moves, and he came in again, making the same demands. They were not questions, they were commands: "bob" "i could use some cures and a bob" "bob" "bob". Again, I simply ignored the fool and went about my business of hunting enemies. So by the time he started that again at the demon wolf cave, I was pretty annoyed. And when he made the comment "now you know me wanker" well that was when his coffin lid slammed shut and I decided to whack him. I am not making any excuses, and I am not ashamed. This is an explanation of why I killed him.

I do not normally post on this site, or indeed visit it very much anymore, but Balthazar that is one skewed version of history. I did meet you in VT seveal hours earlier when I asked you for a bob. You said nothing so I left figuring that you were afk. We met again by Khuzur and demons where I showed up due to your narrates about pukes. Overall, (including VT and Khuzur) I figured I asked you for a bob 4 times in about 4 hours. You did not know who I was so you thought it would be an easy mark. What really bothers me about you is your total inability to tell the truth. After you killed me in Demon Caves you gave away a lot of my equipment (Dabura getting several items which were liberated off his corpse). Then you were slaughtered by two pukes right after you killed me so do not suggest that you would have ever given back the equipment. Quite frankly, I think you are a petulent little man who simply cannot tell the truth. The classic bully who whines when somoene pushes back.

I appreciate Rogon's posting this log on my behalf and I do hope it gives people a chance to see the other side of this story.

I was going to add that it is pretty ironic that rogon, the king of killing 1 person with his group of 4 say anything about such a situation. His whole "MUME career" is built on getting himself into situations where he has the undisputed advantage in battle. hilarious. now a response to you pudwicki. That action is especially nasty tho since it triggers on another players action, and it definatly gives an unfair advantage in PK. I hyave died with numerous chars while exploring by entering through a door another name at the other side and then not seeing the name of the exit being closed due to spam.
In addition there is the situation where you are in a place with 2 closables all he have to do is to spam hit his close exit button and it wont matter which door you opened he will close the right door anyway. So that triggere is a LOT worse than just a trigger setting a door variable when looked at or bumped into.

And the rules state:

Actions are tolerated when they do not depend directly or indirectly upon another player event (Personal actions), but are illegal otherwise (External actions).

Thus actions whose purpose is to, eat or drink, ride a mount that just threw you off, open a door closed by a zone reset or a mobile, would all be legal, but track, attack, open/close a door someone just closed/opened or you bumped into because an opponent made you flee, flee, looting, etc, would not.
