You don't have to *see* an enemy to get him/her into your trophy, just be around when they die. (AFAIK:)

Also possible he snuck by you giving you novoid, so even though you never saw him, he saw you. One of the features of modern day trophy heh

If you are right Ajax, novoid would be abused for detection of enemy sneakers.
Maybe Stormblast was shrouded with you in room, or maybe it was that yell.

I have once gotten a novoid while sleeping, when some darkies showed up (newbie
mappers ho!). So you don't have to see them in fact, to get novoid, interestingly enough.
