Circle of Stones
This hill, though smaller than the mountains to the east and south, is still
very impressive. It is crowned by a small circle of stones, probably the
remnant of some ancient tower -- perhaps a road or trail once led through
this area. In every direction save west, the hillside is too steep and dan-
gerous to attempt to negotiate, and any attempt to do so would surely send
one sprawling to one's death on the jagged rocks below.

This massive rock slab has fortuitously formed a bridge across the river's
gorge, a fact taken advantage of by the trail. Below runs the river, still

Ledge
This narrow ledge is slick with spray spewn by the river as it rushes over the
rocky streambed. Directly above is a large block of granite that has been
sloughed off by the mountain -- it forms a natural bridge crossing the shallow
gorge through which the river runs. The trail that has been following the

a small ledge on the western cliff.

On a River
The water here is shallow, but still swift enough to be dangerous, and its
icy touch numbs the flesh almost instantly. The source of this stream must
not be too much farther upstream -- the water is crystal clear. There is a
trail running along the northern bank of the river, but it is impossible to
reach due to the jagged rocks and swift currents.
Exits: east, west.

River
Here the river widens slightly, slowing down the strong flow of water. Sheer
walls of stone block any attempt to get out of the river, forcing you to
choose to follow the water west, or to try and follow it east. Perhaps you
will soon be able to leave the water, and continue your journey...

River
With a persistence beyond the powers of Morgoth, the water continues its
journey westwards. The flume through which the water flows here is cut deep
into the mountains, cutting off passage to the south. However, you can climb
north on to a worn path running through the mountains. To the east, you can
follow the river upstream up to a waterfall farther along.

The river here is thin and shallow. Although very cold, the water appears

Source of the River
So different from the rest of the scenery here, a large pool of water stands
in the middle of this landing. It seems to be fed from underground, perhaps
from somewhere beyond the sheer face of rock to the east... The water drains
directly down in a thin, but quickly flowing, waterfall. The falling water
flows west to form a thin river through the mountains. There appears to be a
trail of sorts directly north of here, and to the east you spy a small camp.

Trail through the Mountains
Passing through the lower mountains to the west, the trail follows the side of
the mountain, just east of here, directly to the top. Glancing south, you
notice what is perhaps a mirage of sorts. How could a pool form in these harsh
mountains? Nevertheless, you are drawn to it, even if just to quench your
thirst, and fill your skins. After all, this might be the last chance in these
harsh, lifeless mountains.

Trail along a River
Except for the loud roaring of the waterfall south of here, the mountains
seem quiet and lifeless. Even the trail you're standing on seems devoid of
life. Only the hardiest creatures could survive in this land for long, and

of them. East and west, this trail continues, seeming to go deeper into the
mountains in both directions.

More and more in your journey, you begin to wish you never left home. Although
a rock face might change, or a river might flow, the scenery is as bleak as
could be. On this section of the path, you are fortunate enough to have the
dreariness broken by the sound of a river to the south. Also, you hear a loud

the river flowing south of you, all you see is stone. Mountains and mountains
of stone... Perhaps some ancient secret can be found in those mountains, but

until you find a break from the high walls of stone preventing you from
leaving this trail.

o CW HP:Hurt>A Trail along a River
The trail forks here, with a small and faint spur leading down to the east
into a canyon. The main trail turns north, following the path of the tur-
bulent river. The only vegetation in this sombre landscape are bushes that
possess wicked thorns which grab and tear at all exposed clothing.
Exits: north, east, west.

o CW HP:Hurt>A Trail along a River
The river to the north is passing through a shallow gorge, while the trail
winds along on the rim. The trail turns from south to west here, following
the river as best it can. To the east, a large ridge rises to the south of
the trail, sealing it between the mountainside and the river.
Exits: east, south.
You suddenly notice *a dreadful Tarkhnarb Orc*.

o CW HP:Hurt>A Trail along a River
The trail is very precarious indeed, poised along a gorge to the north and
a looming mountainside to the south. Sometimes boulders from frequent rock-
slides almost completely block the path, forcing those who wish to pass into
dangerously scrambling over the debris. To the east, the gorge seems to be
nearing its head, and the trail begins to head down toward the edge of the
river.

here than farther to the west.

A Trail along a River
The trail again runs right along the river here, and due to the caprice of
nature, the sharp rocks that usually border the riverbed are not as frequent
here, allowing access to the cold water. To the south is a smaller trail
that leads down into a canyon that lies to the south of the ridge that begins
just west of here. The trail itself continues east and west, leaving the
river briefly in the latter direction.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

Just to the east, the river bends slightly and the trail takes advantage of
a magnificent natural granite bridge to cross the shallow gorge. To the

leading out of the Misty Mountains and into the Ettenmoors.

o CW HP:Bad Move:Weak>Angmarian Trail
The air is warmer down here, but the tall mountains make the place gloomy; the
sun never rises high enough to see it. The vegetation here is odd and quite
different from anything you have seen before.
You wish to move on and get away
from these mountains.
You can follow the path southwards through a narrow
cleft, or follow the path up the valley-side.
Exits: north, south.

o CW HP:Bad Move:Weak>e
Angmarian Trail
You are in the lower part of this path going far up the mountain-side. In the
valley below you, there are trees and green low vegetation, unlike the flora
up in the mountains. It seems like a peaceful place, well hidden among the
tall peaks of the Mountains.
Exits: east, south, up.

o CW HP:Bad Move:Weak>n
Angmarian Trail
You are halfway down to the bottom of the valley. Walking on this path is
exhausting, no matter whether you climb down or up.
You stop a short while to
let the wind dry off you sweat and then continue.
Exits: north, west.

o CW HP:Bad Move:Fainting>Angmarian Trail
You walk on this path leading downwards. All the bends makes the way down to
the bottom quite long. There is a short and fast way down to the east of you,
it is very steep and looks dangerous. The path turns to the west and it is
hard to see where it is leading, since it is turning and twisting alot. Stones,
boulders and mountains is all you see around you. Sometimes you can hear the
sound of someone running through the mountains... or maybe it is just a stone
rolling down a mountainside.
An orkish officer of the Zaugurz tribe is standing here.
Exits: east, south, west.

You can follow the path

Exits: north, east.

o CW HP:Bad Move:Fainting>Angmarian Trail
The trail is in a horrible state. There have been many avalanches here since
last time anybody did work on this trail.
You doubt you can follow this trail
for long; it's hard to distinguish the trail from the rocky terrain around
you.

Trail End
The path ends here.
You can't spot any safe passages up into the mountains from
here. Suddenly, you hear the sound of some falling rocks above you.
Fortunately, they stop before they reach the place you are standing.
You had
better leave this place soon; you realize that a lot of huge boulders above you
might fall down any time. Rocks surrounding you and the steep mountainsides
prevent you from choosing any other safe way from this place except the one you
came.

Collapsed Inner Cave
Inside a hole stained with blood, you find a large cave. It shows signs of
habitation, with strewn bones and mouldy pieces of something even an orc will
not eat. Some chairs are put around a large table, which is covered with
bones and other dead parts of animals or human beings. However, this cave does
not seem like others you have seen in this area. Shields marked with strange
pictures and walls with strange colours mark this cave as an alien one. What
once must have been an opening in the northern wall is now completely covered
with debris. The only way out is to the west.

Ever heard of turning off room descriptions?

And what's the point in giving away the ending at the start of a log? What a piece of shit you are.

Well, I followed you from angmarian trail, and was just waiting for you to finish doing those huge wargs and maybe rest before I tried landing a stab. I never intended to loot you guys, just wanted the fun of fighting you. And thanks to Zera (or rather, to my lack of moves) I had to withdraw at the end, but by then I was pretty sure you were lowlev. :-)
