###   I was bored so came to find some orcs to play. 
###   Was Sauron's darkness and after some checking I
###   found tracks of *orc* on foot leading to GC.
###   Log isn't complete (bufersize:P) but I followed
###   after orc, blocked rockdoor, but mobs kicked me

Damn, did it again. ALL triggers are illegal in pk, even auto-mounting when zblammed. I have never had an ainur in all my time on mume, it is common knowledge that triggers are illegal. Just be glad you got caught here and not on mume, so you can fix it w/o being demoted. Way to stay in the fight though!

(When I still played) I even removed my auto-labelling
trigger that I only used for getting my statistics
on the timing of various actions (not #actions) during
fighting (like How long does a bash last in average,
how fast are my various weapons etc.). Nobody told
me to remove it either. I just feel a statement

"All Triggers are Illegal in PK"

should REALLY be clear.

Actually autoopen trigger cant help ya in pk i think. If ya spam (usually ya
spam in pk) ,for example w,where door is, 5-6 times, you will try to open it
5-6 times. In that time you don't move just spam open. Way to die. I've been
using it (and all ppl I know too) for several years rl. To grimble: smart you,
this trigger cant be compared with autofol(track)(hit). But still if some
V+ comments it IS illegal i gonna stop using it

Does it increase your dicksize if you kill someone using telnet just because he can't auto-open doors, but has to set an alias manually if he wants to spam it open or closed, or type the whole open blablabla if he wants to spam through the door? Oooh, make auto eat/drink triggers illegal too. I think it gives an unfair advantage when your client can feed you so you regen faster. This is just to point out that nearly any action can help a little in pk. Even the ever so common reply trigger that sets a variable so you don't have to type the name of the person... Ban the Major actions like autohit,autotrack but almost everyone uses that door one so almost everyone has the same advantage...

*LOL* not everyone uses triggers and autolabels. The -only- triggers I've ever used are autoloot gold, and fleetrigger (which I don't use anymore). I have no doorlabel, autolabel key to hit opponent, autoreset wimpy trigger, etc etc etc. And I've never had 'em.

Damn, this makes me feel good about myself, getting all those kills with my chars if all you guys are using this shit.

BTW, I think ALL use of actions is now illegal, and behave accordingly. This of course includes any actions that save you from actually having to type - just pressing the hotkey instead.

Oh, and I forgot to mention those that have a trigger that activates whenever they are in a room with a hidden exit, so it shows the exit direction and exit name on autoexit, and binds a hotkey for open/close/pick/block etc. That's definitely on my personal no-no list too :-)

Lochdale you are refering to the law in a democracy, Mume is a dictatorship (mostly benevlolent, but a dictatorship nonetheless). The same legal precepts don't apply. If the legal arguments of a democracy were valid in mume, I think there would be a good chance that the beautiful doctrine of jury nullification would come into play for people who use non-aggressive actions.

All that aside. Not all triggers are illegal. Triggers used for highlights and variable setting are not. A good rule of thumb--> Does the trigger send text to the mud? If yes, it's probably illegal unless speciffically mentioned as not being illegal in the rules. If no, its not illegal (or at least entirely unenforceable).

Auto trackers have been demoted when noticed, auto hitters too, but, so far i havent heard of anyone punished or told its illegal to have auto-ride (by a v+ not 14 different spamming newbies) so feel safe to use it until someone who has any say tells you not to.
