But if you look from my point of view, it sure as hell looked like an organized trap. 2 on 1 is still overkill vs bn thief, but not what I would call unfair. I don't think it is too lame to try trap a BN thief 2vs1 Who knows what he could have up his sleeve. Coulda drawn a black horned bow and smoked me once my stored spells were gone... coulda had scrolls, coulda used pouch + stab, coulda done alot vs a solo Mage. So i brought along a flusher so i could block to door as i knew he sneaked. Also, i had heard that there were Two bn's there earlier so coulda been 2vs1 in his favour. Trapping is part of the game, he avoided his death easy enough, so i hate it when whiners complain that they are lame. Get to know the map more and you wont get trapped.

Anyone who has ever played a legend one knows exactly what to do, and it isn't hard if you are patient. My pukes drool RL whenever they meet a bn thief. And Alweon, I have to apologize in advance, my eq sucks estonian dick, except for the yew bow I looted from the newbie in the log. At least you are honest about it though, I have to respect that :)

Anyway, back to Uldrak. I love how one person 2 years ago RL narrates that I whine all the time, then his gods changes help whine, and suddenly I am Mume's worst whiner. Aschit RARELY plays, so how can he whine nonstop? There was a point where he logged on once a month, and then only for rent cash to prevent loss of eq and deletion. Get a fucking clue, dipshit.

BTW, Alweon, I hope you had directed the 'get to know map better' at players in general, as advice to all, instead of to me. I imagine only a few players RL know tbad area better than me. That's one of the many reasons I pk there mostly with this character. And, as you noticed in log, I was as prepared as I could be for a trap: alias set, spammed dirs e w, etc. The fact that no one was searching/flushing just led me to jump to a (hasty) conclusion that all four of you were trapping together. The log was intended as an (unjustified) flame at Elroh, who I at the time believed to be the player of a different character. I challenge Uldrak to point out any point in that log where I "whined". I really don't give a shit if he likes me, but he could at least have the decency to only flame me for whining when I actually am. If I whine as much as he seems to think I do, he shouldn't have to wait long.

Sorry for spam, but here's one more for Alweon: I could understand having a newbie to spam search for you so you can block, but no bn thief I know of will live through a set of stored spells: maybe Morholth, but only if he has armour spell. I certainly don't, and remember bns get no endurance :) I rely totally on not getting trapped in the first place. In fact, I usually won't track into that room with this char, even when just scouting it. Maybe next time though :)

Well, bn thieves are EASY to fight, if you know how. Obviously, I'm not goin to TELL you how. And, as I said, 2 vs 1 is not lame (re: Elroh) but feeling the need to trap without even fighting first, that's just boring. And, as Rogon has pointed out, Aschit has indeed trapped 2 vs 1, and occasionally even 3 vs 1. He prefers to fight solo, but he is a puke after all. Oscarmeyer though, has a civil duty as a darkie to spam complaints when it happens. On another note, look at my latest log to see how to, and not to, fight a bn thief.

What amazes me is that people have the time and patience to trap a BN. It's probably the least exciting thing you can do on MUME. Granted, as Alweon put it, you get 100k and perhaps some equipment. If that's what you play for. If you admit that you can't handle a BN thief in a one-on-one situation as whitie caster - you're truly a sad excuse for a Defender of All Good (or whatever).

hehe, i admit, normally i would try that solo but i happened to be down there with loran when starfish told me that he died to you. had not seen a darkie to pk in over 2.5 hours of map-hopping-via-port with elroh so i got a little horny when i heard of you there and figured it would be an easy kill. had loran been flushing perhaps you woulda died, perhaps you woulda opened and escaped. the comment about map knowledge was a general one, not meant for you, as i know you have wandered arda in many forms for many years. one on one i can beat most people because of my defence and nice staff spells, escept casters. fighting them is where my link really shows its true colours and you find me having to concede defeat alot. sorry long post and this is old log so most wont read...
