If you read the post, MORON, you will see that I had no clue he was linkless until I stabbed him, to HURT, not awful. He was linkless a VERY long time, so no doubt he was full (healthy) by the time he reconnected. His crit was on his right arm. If I had managed to kill him, which is quite doubtful, it would have been a fair kill. Read the fucking log before you flame people. And, btw, it's 'you're', not 'your' and 'finish', not 'finnish', unless you are from .fi. What my comment said was that I hoped he would have returned so I could finish the job, as in fight him fairly. I have only killed linkless, to my knowledge, once ever, and that was because I lagged and couldn't cancel a stab after flag came up. I took no eq or even gold from that kill, and made sure the puke got it back by talking to gods. To hear you accuse me of linkless killing is incredible, and I know that even the people who completely hate me on this game (and there are plenty) will stand by the fact that I won't kill linkless, with the POSSIBLE exception that I meet someone who has intentionally killed me linkless previously. Even that has not happened. Keep in mind that this was before history command, so I could have killed him, not narrated, and kept/sold all of that eq for myself with no one knowing for certain (other than v) that I had done it. If anything, this log proves that I would not kill linkless, because not many people would pass up a chance at hide and shining set, even if it was their best friend RL sitting there linkless.

Well, that was an old one I happened to have switched over to this computer from my old. I need to finish transferring files between the two so I can sell the old. Look in the near future for the log of a drunken Annar killing a bn that tried to stab me, because he was pissed at the interruption. He was really serious about convincing me to move to Estonia, and I was tired enough that it was really making sense. I REALLY wish I had thought to log all of that myself, would have been the greatest log in mume history. The part I was given, though, is quite hilarious by itself.

I rember linkless or maybe afk dwarf (no flag) on rtf - i blinded and 3 pukes
came to guard him. I targeted him just for fun but pukes always made me bad/awful *sniff*. They were thinking that i am linkless but in fact i am not.
I just made good oportunity for them to kill me.

To answer you initial question, I can honestly say I would have spared Mahal.
Not just because he was linkless, but also because he is a great guy, and
besides I know I could never kill him on the Road to Tharbad anyway :-P

BTW, I was in a bad mood that day, to start, and if even *1* person had said reliably that Mahal killed linkless, he would have ripped. Not a single person said he did (though 1 or 2 told me to kill him anyway), so I figured he was a nice guy and just played around some instead.
